Lindsey sees some kids being literally packed into a car. She pauses and olga goes over and chats to teh guy, who acts like she is really disturbed.
The guy gets in his car and drives off (plate czm345)
We all get in the path finder. People pile in and cas gets out the tire iron. People mention the robot kids and there is some. Uh-huh. Olga asks about Campbell's ability to trace the number. Campbell calls her lacky, err I mean, parnter, and he says he will call back at about 5:30.
Drive to the (water?) plant.
The instructions lead us to a dump of a shack. The shack has painted and borded up windows. There is a lincon parked outside with tainted windows, clothing tossed in teh back seat, a tool box on the floor and a pistol on the front seat. Olga and cas talk about scoring the shooter.
People go inside, Cas carefully, Rene less so.
There are voices inside. Doors open, etc and we meet lester. He leads us to the second room with some desks and more people.
We are introduced to Dr Anders and the muscle, Steve and Tijo. Cas flips the tire iron aside, measuring how hard Tijo is going to be to take down (the answer, quite).
Dr Anders does the intro speal.
The organisation is interested in controlling random elements in the society. Cas is quickly bored. There are teams in a web to blah blah
Cas spots off, not really understanding. Steve scants our little group and settles on Lindsey. Lindsey is givin' Anders the evil eye.
Olga questsions Dr Adners about details. Campbell asks if he is New Inq. He wont say speciffically, Rene asks how much enforcement these guys will use.
"Thats not what were about at the moment."
Rene: "Are you responsible for whats been happening to us?"
"I dont know."
"Well we want to know if you have been involved in our trouble."
"I dont know."
Rene: "Well we want Justice."
Cas: "You mean revenge."
More chatting. *yawn*
Cas: "You guys are like cops right?"
Anders: "more like a family working for mutual profit and protection."
Olga: "The mob?"
Anders: "Not a bad likeness."
Cas: "Whats in it for us?"
Anders: "You can work close or appart. If you're close then you get a salary. If not then you get access to resources and safe houses etc. Help in research etc."
Olga: "Is Alex Abel your leader?"
"I cant answer that."
Rene: "We might want to work work for you for a while, but not for ever."
Anders: "Um, its not like that. Once you're in you cant walk away."
"So you're the mob then? Or a terrorist cell?"
"Something like that."
Cas blusters about 'walking up the chain'. But the implied threat isnt a worry to these guys.
Eventually we say "We need more info."
Lindsey asks Dr Anders about his personal experiances and he seems happy enough working for his bosses.
Steve seems unhappy for a guy who can blow up peoples heads.
We all part ways. (But not before noticing that the cat is a 'star rental' car.
