This is all the shhhhhhhhhhhhh, its secret that those other evil players don't get to know. All this stuff about her background and ideas for the evil Mr Liam to use, or not to use, as the case may be.
So, people should feel free to send me ideas here or Mr Liam should be reading this and telling me what bits to ignore and what to make more detail on.

Cas' mother and father were childhood sweethearts from a small country town in middle nowhere, USA. It was the standard US teen film romance, of football star and school sweetheart.
From there, Cas' father (Anthony) got a job at with the Air Force and they started hopping from town to town and base to base as Cas' father got promoted. Things started to get a bit rocky when Cas' mother (Lynn) started drinking and that started to become a problem, because of an abusive childhood that she had never told anyone (not that Anthony would have known how to deal with it anyway).
Tony's birth eased things somewhat and set the family back on track. Anthony got an important promotion soon after the birth and they moved to a new base on higher pay and a more comfortable situation. Lynn was soon pregnant with Will and soon after his birth, Cas.
The boys were spoilt rotten by Anthony, Lynn had her problems to deal with. Anthony spent weekends playing sports with the boys and the tomboy Cas. Anthony came from a family of 3 boys and hadn't really had any experience dealing with girls before. Cas was the exact opposite of the spoilt last child. She tried harder and harder for attention from her parents but couldn't get it.
Anthony started to need to put more and more time into his work, and the family life started to suffer. Lynn's problem became worse and started impacting on the children. Chiefly it effected Cas as both the boys were spoilt by Anthony when ever he could (and he was inclined to take their side in arguments).
From Cas' point of view her father just disappeared and her mother became a monster, taking out her anger on Cas. Cas tried to complain to Tony and Will, but Tony wouldn't believe it and soon came to realize that neither parent believed any of the wild things Cas claimed any more. Tony started to develop his mothers bullying and tormenting Cas.
Anthony started to feel something was wrong and took some time off to try and get things back together but it was too late. Both parents started to argue and Cas' father went back to work and started working longer and longer hours (shooting up the promotion ranks).
Soon her parents split up and Cas' mother started to drink with wild abandon. Soon the divorce was happening and before the children knew what was happening their parents had split up and Lynn had custody of the children (despite a hard and often bitter fight from Anthony).
Her mother ran off and soon all the money was spent, her drinking habit had been replaced with harder addictions and they were living in a slum somewhere. A couple of months later Lynn's dealer Rob moved.
From there, Cas' life really started to suck. Lynn and Tony's tormenting was nothing compared to the beatings and sexual abuse she got from Rob (this stuff is taken from: http://faithrocks.tripod.com/fic/shamrock-keepbreathing.html near the end of the story where our hero, Faith, talks about her past.).
Cas started to dream of her real father returning like a knight in shining armor, but it didn't happen. She tried to tell people but no one believed her. Soon she knew she had to do something. She started resisting, but that just made it worse. Cas worked out, getting stronger and quicker. She started to feel a faint feeling of hope.
One night, after crying in bed until about 2am, Cas snapped. She grabbed a baseball bat and snuck into Rob and Lynn's bedroom. Cas just started to strike again and again without care about where the blows struck. Standing there, striking with all her might, Cas felt some of her self respect come back.
Sadly though Cas was still only young and her blows only stunned Rob. Rob rolled out of bed and grabbed a chair. Cas bolted out the door and fled into the night. Luckily she had taken Rob's wallet before she attacked and with the cash inside Cas took a train over as many states as she could manage before the cash ran out.
In the new state she started to hang out with the local kids and that is where she met with DMS and the gang.
He cared a lot for his family, but just had no idea of how to deal with the problems left over from his wife's abusive past. Eventually it got too much and the family split and to recover he buried himself in his work.
Cas has a love hate relationship with her father. She vaguely remembers that as a nice time, before her life went down hill, but she hates him for not being there.
Where he is, Cas doesn't know. She would be angry if they met but she would probably listen. Probably.
Her drinking problem caused her to lash out at whatever was at hand and that was usually Cas. Her drinking and drug problem lead her to do horrible things that she has no memory of. She becomes a monster when the drugs take over.
Cas hates her mother totally. She wont hear any explanation for her family life. Pity, because getting past that would help her start to heal.
Cas' mother is a victim of her addiction. Where she is, Cas doesn't know or care. If they met, Cas would put her in hospital or even kill her.
When the family moved and Rob moved in, Anthony fought hard to hold some of his position as head of the family. Anthony just spent time away from home to avoid conflicts with Rob.
Tony is a bully. Where he is Cas doesn't know. If they met, Cas would probably ignore him, but if he pushed it she would put him in hospital.
Will tries to live up to his macho brother, but has a heart. Where he is, Cas doesn't know. If they met, Cas would probably listen to him, but she would brush him off. She would hurt him if he pushed it.
Junkies became Rob's personal work force. They would do anything for him because he had their hits.
Rob uses people and is a total immoral bastard. If Cas ever heard anything about him she would hunt him down and kill him. Slowly.
She started working kids jobs, earning a few bucks here and there, just enough to pay a fractional part of the rent and move in with a warm friendly neibourhood family that Lucy (see friends) lined up for her.
Some of the local kids from this family were knocking round with some of the younger members of one of the local gangs. Cas started to hang with some of them, although she got pushed around by the older ones who didnt like a cave-bitch hangin' with the brothers.
Cas didnt like being picked on and start to learn a thing or two about fighting (usually by seeing her own mistakes). She started to work out and get fit and slowly, unnoticed, she started to become a fighter.
Ice was the first to discover this. He was picking a fight with her one day and suddenly he found a boot in his most sensitive parts. Angry, he lashed out, but found he had trouble connecting and soon he was the obvious loser in the fight. Soon, Ice/Cas fights became common and the two started fighting and learning off each other.
Somewhere along the way, the anger and antaginism fell away. Ice and Cas started friendly sparring. Ice has previously put 100% of his faith in his strength to overcome his opponents, but Cas used her speed, skill and brutality to even the score. Cas knew that Ice was probably like most threats she would face, much stronger than her and she had to overcome this sort of threat. The two started practicing with each other, Cas to better herself so she could beat people like Ice and Ice to improve his skills. Where the friendship started, neither remembers.
Cas came to DMS' attention trough Ice. One time when Ice got in trouble with a couple of older brothers, it was Cas and Ice who faced them down (and Ice and DMS who pulled Cas away from kicking the downed older homie). DMS then started to watch Cas and he started to see that Cas faced the same problems as the Brothers and sisters of the Hood. The more he watched, the more he saw Cas was one of them and that ment that it wasnt skin color that decided things, it must be something else.
Somewhere along the way, Cas and Ice became good friends and Cas started to trust Ice (he had beaten her a few times and he didnt seem to take advantage of it, like Cas had assumed that most men would). Cas' trust of Ice led her to meet DMS and the three of them started to hang out together.
Some of the younger gang members still hassled Cas because she was white, but never with Ice or DMS' around. But Cas' constant sparring with Ice had improved her skills to the point where she was feared, if not respected, by the rest of the gang.
Because of the hassling, Cas didnt feel like she belonged in the 'Hood. it was her home, but not by choice and she knew that she wasnt really trusted by people here, but hey, she didnt feel at home anywhere, life sucked and and the world was really out to get her. So this was just more proof.
DMS would often talk about politics, power and history and Ice and Cas started to realise just how smart their friend was. DMS spoke of power and equality and pointed things out to Cas and Ice that they had never seen (like how poor people are kept down by those in power). Ice and Cas became DMS' pupils in his preaching on power and equality. Ice believed, but Cas just learned how strong people keep the weak down.
DMS noticed that Cas was picked on by the gang and started to stand up for her. "Racism cuts both ways. Its not skin color that seperates US from THEM, its money. They keep us poor. The sister is poor. She is one of us." DMS's support got her accepted into the gang, atleast enough to hang around on the outside or with the younger BG's.
DMS and Ice, already like brothers, were spending lots of time with Cas (with Ice matchmaking and prodding DMS and Cas together in an amazingly subtle way that neither of the other two noticed or even credited him capable of). Soon DMS, Ice and even Cas trusted each other like a close family, knowing that if any of them needed the others then they would be there. Cas was a little weirded out by this, but before it became an issue, they needed her.
When DMS challanged the gang leader (because he was "livin' off the bothers. You be just keepin' your brothers down. You do 'The Man's work for him, fool."), Ice and Cas immediatly lept to his side. Many of the younger gang did too and after a drawn out fight, DMS became gang leader.
Some of the older gang members split and started their gang anew and challange DMS for his turf, but so far, DMS' intelligence and Ice and Cas' violence manage to keep DMS' position safe.
DMS immediatly turned the gang around and stopped it leaning on the locals for easy cash. He also started leaning on drug dealers to keep track of who was selling what to who so that the dealers knew that he was keeping track of the local brothers and sisters just incase things went wrong. They didnt get hassled but if they sold poluted stuff, then they would be gettin' a visit.
The dealers fought this and Ice and Cas' skills were called on a lot once again, to challange hired thugs who were trying to keep things as they were.
DMS' actions to stop the local gang leaning on locals won him support from Lucy Colston, Sgnt Laurence Harrison and most of the local inhabitants. DMS started trying to use the gang and his influence in the 'Hood to make the area a stronger and tighter community. Fight the power an' all that.
DMS and Cas started to grow close and with Ice watching like a proud brother. DMS was telling them about how the Nubian empire took Egypt (at that time the world) and he was just getting to the bit where the Nubian king (Pharaoh was a term Akhenaten's rule invented) Akhenaten was shaking the world and creating what we now take for granted. Naturally the cave-boys tried to erase it.

He was the first prophet of One God (like Christ or Mohammed
but before them). He was all about equality and ethics and
all his people were set free. He fought to free his people from these
priests and their "keep ya down" religion.
He married this white queen, Nefertiti, who was just as powerful as him and did all this smitin' shit on their enemies. She was like the most beautiful sister ever and she was the one who found Moses in the river. Yeah, Moses from the Bible. The Bible got that bit wrong. Moses was a brother. She didnt actually find the kid, it was her husband who was Moses. You know it got changed in translation because those wiggers couldnt accept a brother as the first prophet. Anyway, the Man fought back and erased him from history, coz he took away their power and gave it to the people. They tried to wipe their memory out, but the truth will out. Information wants to be free. They rewrote history and made him bad, but we know. They can say he was a fanatic, and a criminal, but we know. Naturally the black God Set became the bad evil boogie man, but Set be the greatest fighter and hunter in all their history. He beats Osiris and takes Horus' eye, but then the other Honky Gods vote that he loses and he gets shafted. Typical. Just like Akhenaten's story. |
The three of them decided to get ink to mark their bond forever. Cas chose Nef, DMS chose Set (becuase they only left these weird images of Akhenaten when they went to wipe the dude out, but Set is the Nubian God they couldnt destroy). Ice just chose an Ice block (much to the annoyance of the others :).
This mark drew the three even closer and DMS and Cas became lovers in an amazingly public, animalistic and passionate way. The three of them were never apart and they radiated this strange power like they could face anything. They walked through the 'Hood like they were royalty.
Cas started to feel a little freaked at this whole thing. Suddenly she realised that she loved DMS and Ice. They were close enough to hurt her more than anyone ever before in her life. She tried bullying Ice, but he always just smiled sweetly and acted dumb and she got her way. She tried it on DMS and he immediatly saw through her and said something about "the wheel of violence rollin' on" (somehow he KNEW about ROB!!!!). Challanged (well probably, it sounded like an insult), Cas started beating the snot out of him, but he just stood there and took it, staring her in the eyes. He knew her. When he started bleeding, Cas stopped, unable to provoke a reaction, unable to take the knowledge from his mind, unable to really hurt him. Cas freaked. He was inside her defences and she couldnt hurt him.

Being resourceful and cunning, Cas did what any good headcase would do. She immedatly started treating DMS like dirt and launched in to a public and passionate affair with DMS' strongest rival in his own gang and later with the leader of the older gang (This would hurt the bastard (if she couldnt do it physically.....)). This sturred up rivalry in the gang and DMS suddenly needed to do a lot of work to hold the posse together (what with the challange and the slap to his reputation). With that done, Cas just dissapeared into her new flat, leaving DMS and Ice to deal with the fallout and wonder what the Hell just happened.
Cas knew that she had just burned most of her bridges with the local posse members. They had always picked on her for being a wigger and now they wouldnt accept her back any time soon. DMS couldnt bring her back without burning almost all of his cred as leader. That got DMS out of her defences. She was on top once again!
She still treats DMS and Ice like nothing happened and the three are
all good friends, which just adds to their confusion. DMS suspects
that there is something in her past that she ran away from, proably
abuse, and he wants to learn more ("The Sister needs help and nothing'
stop me helping the brothers and sisters").
[ This may be true, but Cas is going to make sure he pays a huge price
for it if she can. What a head case, eh? :) Proud of me? :) ]
Cas started making her own life and found some employment bouncing at dance clubs a 'burb or two away. Queue present day.....
Im not sure im 100% with the Faith and Buffy get together idea. Mainly because I think Buffy is stronger and somehow different than the Buffy in the Faith/Buffy stories. Im not sure I can expand on that much more, its just a feeling. Also, she isnt the sort of person who could get that far with Faith without the scoobies picking it up, vibe wise, again IMHO. Plus I think Faith is too damaged to get really far along that track. The GIFTS strory sort of says what I mean. I think Faith would screw it up before it got that far.
Its a nice idea though. And I would love to see Josh tackle it. :)
