History & Changes...

Mary's selection as a Slayer during highschool (in faith's place) has lead to many wacky and zany 'buffy the show' like episodes that you are all aware of.

Make 'em up. You know, talk fondly about the rat things in the sewers or that time with the demon pawn shop or the drum that animated Barbie dolls, that sort of thing. You know, you all know what happened, so pretend its a nice shared experiance for all of you (except for Rachel).

Pretend you actually roleplayed it and anecdote about it. :)

It is worth noting that:

The war council didnt kidnap a rogue killer slayer from prison anymore, they kidnapped Mary, an active and good slayer, to do their experiments on. The watchers/war council struggle suddenly just got a lot more blood thirsty and dangerous and people should treat it like that!! Remember, they took cute nice good little Mary away and killed her repeatedly.

Straight after the council heard about what happened to Mary and the activation of Jayde. They moved out here in force (henry etc) to immediatly combat the NUMBER ONE threat, that is the war council. Their fear is that the war council will do to Jayde what it did to Mary.

Repeating: The war council and the normal council are now at war. Scary scary people now, as if they wernt before.

Also note that Mary is the senior slayer in town. She's been active for a year or two and Jayde is the 'junior slayer'. Mary has the experiance and Jayde is trying to get up to speed.

Christian, Mary's watcher, is now part of a team with Alex and Henry and the other council memebers. Alex looks after Jayde and Mary's recovery from her ordeal. Christian looks after Mary and communicating with the Council. Henry is the main Council link.

Alex is _VERY_ anti watchers council for letting that happen to 'poor Mary'.

The stuff we have done in the last year/year and a half mostly happens as is. Mary is obviously angry and still traumatised by her kidnapping and murder and so she goes a little off the deep end, but naturally everyone cuts her some slack and gives her friendship and support etc, so she pulls through.

Mary charges the knife on demons only and takes down Orme in the process. Faith fought in the portal room and casey replaced Mary in the magic. Neither mary or fiath have the 'someone kills me dream', thats much to dark for the Mary the Vampire Show.

So, what about Faith in the 'Buffy universe' you ask?

Faith's background in sunnydale has been modified the minimal amount to make it work.

Faith is contacted by the council (for some unknown reason as she's not a slayer). Kakistos arrives and kills the watcher, she flees to Sunnydale, Kakistos still in pursuit. Arriving in Sunnydale (again human, but somewhat of a nasty street fighter), she does the 'bad girl, im so cool' thing with the gang, patrols with Buffy and generally acts the same.

The Gwendolyne Post (who came to 'test Giles' not to be Faiths watcher, because shes not the slayer) thing happens (except Faith faces off Angel/Buffy with a baseball bat rather than super powers), blah, mope mope, blah, patroling, blah, kills Finch, blah, Angel tries to talk to her, Evil takes Mastercard, Wes tries to ship her back to England, joins Mayor, betrays scoobies, blah, poisons Angel, fights Buffy and gets stabbed.

Coma, wakes up +8 months, switches bodies, fun and hijinks, off to LA, hunts Angel, tortures Wes, faces off with Buffy, gives herself up and goes to prison.

Im sure you get the idea.

Needless to say the council dont consider a rogue 'scooby' (who has access to their 'secrets' to be something the police can deal with (what if she 'dobs in' the slayer, etc), so they use the same tactics to deal with her as they did in the tv series.

NOTE: The war council do NOT do the prison thing, they dont care about a rogue human scooby.

Faith is paroled a few months later (due to lack of evidence and her young age, etc).

Buffy (who still hates her guts) grabs her and comes to help the scoobies rescue Mary (etc as 'happened' in the game).

Faith is put under concil control with her parole officer being none other than a visiting Scotland Yard criminal sociologist, named Christian (Mary's watcher).

Repeating: Faith is the same, killed people, betrayed the scoobies, worked for the Mayor, knife to willows throat, poison Angel, fight with buffy girl that she's always been, but she has had to use more brains and less brawn to do it. The council consider her a rogue and corrupted scooby and the council would love her out of the way, but they dont want to risk a scene, so they are waiting for her to screw up.

The punch up with Hoshi in the night club did happen and the cops are looking into it. :)

OLD STUFF

The story so far...

Mary becomes a Slayer in highschool.

Naturally, all her friends, Casey, Jonathan and Gemma find out about it. Cordy like, Jayde is pulled into the group too, although she tries to avoid getting her nails dirty.

Muchly adventures later and some dashing do, we get to the end of highschool.

Some rogue war-council watchers kidnap Mary and suddenly, Jayde activates as a Slayer. People gasp and agnst at Mary's death. Jayde has a dream and the idea that she might not really be dead occurs.

Jayde and the scoobies, aided by the arrival of Buffy, rescue Mary from the council. Mary is pretty traumatised by it all, but with the help of her close loving friends she gets over it pretty quickly.

Jayde and Mary do some bonding and Slayer stuff together and work as a good team, (well, just ok, because there is the fashion difference after all! :)

The Orme problem comes up and Mary and Jayde fight Orme together, but Mary ends up stabbed and Jayde gets burnt. Gemma still leapt on the knife and got stabbed.

Naturally slayer healing helps them both recover quickly.

Mary is more 'firm and assertive' because she's been the Slayer for a few years now.

Oh yeah, and.....

When Buffy came along, she dragged this other girl, Faith (a normal human girl) along with her. Faith apparently had caused mucho problems back in Sunnydale where she had turned evil, betrayed all the scoobies, tried to kill some of them, actually killed someone else and working for a demon. She had ended up in prison, but she was soon paroled due to her age.

Buffy brought her here for the watchers to look after. Her parol officer is a member of the council, so she is dragged in whenever extra bodies are needed for research or for things like the 'final Orme battle'.

She doesnt have any money from the mayor and works cleaning dishes in a resturant to fulfil her parole conditions. No moving in with Casey an Neo for this girl. The only person she did try to talk to was Casey, but he was too busy with helping Mary recover from her ordeal to spend much time with her.

She's mostly a surly and grumpy presence who radiates 'leave me alone'.
