Zombies and knifes.....

Mary goes to Conrads and helps him bandage up. Mary bandages her own hand and then gets down to the study.

She asks Conrad about the demon dog thing. "Webs? Usually capturing and feeding off, rather than eating your insides type demons. Or maybe breeding inside you, like laying seeds or something or the young burrying out."

"Ewww. Hmm. How can we kill it."

"Ask the slayer?" offers Conrad.

"Yes! Excellent idea!! Hey we can get her to try the knife out on vamps."

Asking more about the knife, Conrad explains that he is going to summon some thing to ask it questions about the knife. Mary wants in, so they schedule the ritual for later in the night.

Mary heads off to find out about suicide stats from Alex.

16 Sep 2000, Saturday 6:49pm, Graveyard

Jayde and Michael hang around in the graveyard. Jayde hears two things clambering out of the graves, one from a fresh grave and one from an older one. Weird.

A hand pops up an Jayde moves in for the kill. *spluck* The stake is a lot more manky than normal. The thing doesnt die.

"I..Is that a vampire?"

"Nope." Says Jayde, leaning down and snapping its neck. "Dunno what that is."

The other older grave one has got half way out and Jayde walks over and pulls it free. Michael pokes the cross into its face and it moans. Jayde is having a hard time just brushing this thing aside and finally snaps its leg and pins it to the ground.

"What are you?!?"

"Arrrrrg"

"Great! English! Speak english!"

"Arrrggrg"

"Zombie! Its a zombie! I remember Faith talking about 'em." She looks up at a stunned Michael who is looking uncertain. Her gaze moves behind him and he turns around, seeing the neck broken zombie moving forwards. Jayde tries to smack the steak into the skull but it doesnt work. "Yep. Zombies. Go get the tire iron from the car."

Michael runs off and comes back sometime later with the tire iron. Jayde has been snipping at the zombies but made no head way. Grabbing the tire iron, she starts to wack her way at the skull, finally getting through with a splatter and killing her zombie.

Michael has his pinned, so Jayde finishes it off.

"Lets go talk to alex!!!" Jayde offers perkely.

"Zombies. They were zombies." Michael seems to have been affected by the zombies, but Jayde doesnt kill him. "They were zombies."

"Not gettin' over that are ya?"

Alex talks to Michael about Zombies and stuff. Michael is going through a little paradyme shift.

Michael talks with Jayde about retirement and not fighting for ever. "Yeah, how about just 'till I die?"

"Ah. But thats just dumb."

Alex takes Michael off to watch 'So you want to slay evil? A watchers introduction'. Jayde goes and washes. Mary rolls up. Mary hits Alex's books while Alex is busy.

Jayde comes back and people start to argue about the knife.

Mary says "We can use the knife to find Faith!"

Alex: "There are more mundane ways of doing that. The knife is bad bad news. Lets lock it away."

Mary: "No. Im sooooooooo close."

Jayde: "Listen to yourself."

Jayde moves to take the knife. Mary counters by going to draw it.

Alex: "Stop! Look at this!"

Jayde: "Youre under the influence of the knife!"

Mary: "No. You knew Faith was going to kill with it and you didnt do anything to stop it!"

Jayde: "There were bigger demons to kill. Look what do you think she's going to do if she wakes?"

Mary: "She's probably awake already. I was going to break Faiths link to it and then destroy it."

Alex: "I can keep it safer here. We can take our time and get ready and study it and make sure its never used again."

Mary: "Oh sure. Until faith comes here and asks 'where is it?'"

Alex: "And you'll be any better?"

Mary hears a creak behind her and snaps round. Michael grabs her wrist and flips her to the floor. The knife drops out and he kicks it away.

Jayde grabs the knife and puts it on the table infront of Alex.

Everyone is quiet. Michael backs away.
