Jayde goes out with her Dad for a nice quiet dinner. He is quiet and trying to workout how to help Jayde.

Alex has been hitting the books.

Alex covers the stuff about the Tophet demon not actually being a demon, but rather being an elemental or an 'idea'. The elemental can `posess' anything and that object will start to resemble the elemental.

People are told to be on the lookout for anything that looks like Tophet. And to remeber that stronger the elemental fragment, the quicker and larger the posessin will be obvious.

8 Sep 2000, Friday 10:42pm, patrol

J & F leave alex to the books and go patroling. They spot mary walking round, but leave her to herself.

Walking round the busy parts of Berkley, Jayde gets a hand on the shoulder only to meet 'Kevin and Troy', two shining examples of the US sports schollarship program. They wanted Jayde to get Dustin a card as they heard she was organising it. "Just post it, guys!"

"Hey! Yeah!"

Brushing them off, F & J continue their patrol.

They split up to look for hunting parties, but Jayde only finds two street kids being beaten up.

Eventually they find a vamp and a strange woman. They leap in and the woman seems to want Faith, so Jayde gets to beat up the vamp for info while Faith gets the little gold necklace.

The woman heads off. Jayde asks and Faith says "Contact. From my days of, you know, workin' for the Mayor. *shrugs* She's a messanger of a sorcerer."

Jayde isnt comfortable with this and states, "Im not comfortable with that."

"Look, Im not going to go crazy and kill everyone, ok? I just want an out. If you croak, I want a way to dissapear. Remember, the watchers aint on my side, and I aint got your little scooby friends. I just want the ability to dissapear."

"Hmmm. Well thats not so bad." They leave their trust issues there. :)

Jayde found out some stuff questioning her vampire and so they go and find the vamp patrol. Faith gets her bow and dusts the lookout while Jayde rushes the van. Jayde takes the vamp in the back and lets the juicebag free before taking the driver.

Jayde and Faith head off to the graveyard.
