A day in the life of Mr Casey

Mary and Casey meet up for post lunch.

"Hi Casey! Some crazy guy was stalking Jonathan, and he was looking for the chosen one for a burning, and he didn't reconise Faith or Gemma, and he thought I was a CIA agent, and a guy with a stick was hanging arround the wall, and here are your comp-sci notes."

Casey grabs the notes, half stands and kisses Mary on the cheek. "You're a doll. I wasn't going to be able to go outside without major eyeball surgery today. Oo. Oh yeah. Do you want to visit Dustin in hospital?"

"Who?"

"Football playing guy from high school. Tried to drink Faith under the table @ party, puked in corner."

"ohh, wow.... well I guess we knew him, well sort of. What happened to him?"

"From the way the ambulance rushed off, I don't think he was dead, although I thought he was to begin with. Him and B were arguing and I went to say 'hi' and then the car hit him." Case shrugs. "I just thought it would be a nice thing to do. Should see how Belinda is too."

"Errr, well I never really liked him, but I never really wanted him dead... Was Belinda hit at all?"

Casey shrugs. "Its up to you. We can just send a card if you want. Um, I think she was a bit concussed." Casey demonstrates with some books on the table. "Dustin's car was parked like this, and he " Casey picks up a grape "was here, and Belinda - " Another grape. " - was here, and then this car came and slammed into it like this. And the grape, er Dustin, went over here." Casey accidentally squishes the grape. "ooops. Well, art imitates life I guess. Belinda got a lot shock up, but her parents came and picked her up and stuff"

Winces at splattering grape "We really ought to see how he is".

Casey wipes his hands on jeans. "Yeah, although, um, I wasn't officially there or anything. We can just drop past with some grapes... er, yeah and a card. "

"Then do you still want to go out tonight?" little pause, "Are you feeling okay? Do you want to talk about anything? 'Officially there' what do you mean? Its not as if someone could blame you for the crash or anything."

"Feel much better today. Sorry about leaving suddenly. Had a long talk with Faith about stuff and it got a bit long winded, and by the time I realised, we'd walked over half the town. Um. No. I just. um. Didn't want to sort of get involved with the cops."

"Casey! What if Belinda forgot somthing about the car."

"It wasn't a hit and run or anything - the people who hit him like stopped. It wasn't like they had a choice, they tore the whole door off. And there were other people there. And stuff."

"I guess... well okay. Shall we go see what sort of shape Dustin is in?"

Casey looks relieved. "Yeah, lets do that. I'm surprised rumours weren't everywhere today. I guess that you were busy at the lunch thing,right?"

"Oh! And keep an eye out for this guy." *shows photo of Arden* "He's a post -grad in the anthropology department. Studeing Shamanistic cultures" "Jayde Dreamt about him... before she met him, and in the dream he sacrificed Gemma. But for some reason Both of them are trying to get him into bed."

Casey looks at the photo, distractedly saying "Must be his deoderant. Teevee tells me its true". (I have no idea if Casey has met him :) He hands it back and starts getting stuff together to go out. "Any thoughts on what to do tonight?"

"We could get japanese at the sushi-bar thingie. Then we could go swimming, if you want, Its still pretty warm, and I think the pool is open late."

"Yeah... yeah, that sounds cool, actually."
