A strange night out...

Gemma, Mary and Casey are walking back from the night club.

"... and that guy you were dancing with!!" says Gemma.

"Was he dancing with me?!?" replies the world wise Mary.

Err. Ok.. They hit on the idea of coffee and warm donuts for our steakout friends. They trundle off to make their purchases.

Magical barrier, Sat/Sun night 3am

Jonathan is sitting in a bush with Jayde keeping a look out, much to Jayde's dislike. Soon Jayde hears the group approaching from inside the wall and looks round to see and smell the arrival of our caffinated heroes.

Conrad seem less than impressed with the military brillance of the move and decides to patrol outside the barrier to see if he can provide advance warning of any appraoch. Everyone seems happy with that.

People eat and chat a bit before Mary, Jonnathan, Gemma and Casey leave home to sleep, leaving Jayde, Alex and Conrad to hold the fort, waiting for Faith to turn up with the test vampire so Conrad can experiment.

Twins home, Sat/Sun night 4am

Gemma drops off to sleep and....

Back stage somewhere...

Jayde suddenly appears back stage at some production. Curtains, props and scenary appear all around her. Looking confused, she heads over towards Leda's voice and notices her mother, dressed in a black lycra jumpsuit with a pink frilly mane and a long back tail with a pink pompom on the end. Leda is standing around, ordering people around.

Leda spots her and becons her over. Jayde approaches and Leda throws an arm around her. "Are you Ok, dear?"

"Errk?"

"Well, look, we are on in 5. You know how this goes, right? Here is your gavel."

"Errk?"

Leda takes a breath. "Ok, we went over this, Antony. You go out there and try and get the highest price. Remember, no anti capitalism tonight, this is for a good cause." Leda hands Jayde a clipboard with numbers, names and, preferences? on.

Suspicion starts to build in Jayde and she looks down, noticing that she is wearing a red puffy shirt, leather pants and some stompy boots. 'New romantic' Jayde thinks to herself, 'eeeeew, how 80s'. Oh my... Jayde's eyes go wide as she realises.... looking round, she sees a couple of guys in various leather recreational gear. One looks like Bradley and....

"You'll be great." She gives Jayde a hug.

"I... I... have to go check something...." Jayde turns and runs for a changing room to find a mirror.

Back stage somewhere...

Gemma is surrounded by rolls and rolls of flowing curtains... she hears voices and makes her way out towards them, bursting onto a lit stage to a mass of cheers. Embarrased, she turns round and heads backstage through the curtains.

Suddenly she bursts into the backstage area with lots of pink and black dressed people holding numbers. She spots Leda hugging Antony and is just about to say something when she notices that her hand doesnt look normal.

Looking down she sees that her body has undergone some major changes and she now appears to be man, dressed in a leather harness ensemble with a leather pouch, studded in pink. She backs against the wall, suddenly feeling very shy.

Leda watches Antony run off and then notices Brad/Gemma and beckon's her over. Grabbing a number and covering her most windy parts, Gemma heads over to Leda.

As she is walking over, an extreamly hansom guy in leather pants and jacket with a killer body walks up and checks her/him out. "Nice outfit. Hi, i'm Nick."

"Eep!"

"So, here for the party and the Auction, eh? Pity about Eryn."

"Huh?"

Nick notices the number Gemma is holding over her/his rear. "23, eh? Right then. Looks like I might be seein' you later."

Gemma pulls the sign away and hides, it, getting an appreciative nod from Nick.

She scurries off to see Leda.

"Brad! Just in time. We are just about to go on. You know what you have to do?" Leda spots the 'for sale' sign, "Oh, did you want to be in the Auction?"

"?"

"Ok, we can auction you first, so that then you can help."

Cassy, a tall black lady with a 70's afro hair do and a pink hippy tiedye dress walks over. "Almost ready, Leda honey."

"Cassy! Brad here is having second thoughts. Nick, how much would you pay for Brad?"

Nick gives Brad the piece-o-meat stare and shrugs, "Oh, probably a couple of hundred in that little thing."

Leda, momentarily distracted, leans over and runs a finger down some of the leather harness stuff that Gemma is wearing. "Oh, thats nice. You didnt order that though us, did you?"

Suddenly there is a rush of activity and Leda and Cassy have to go off and organise things.

Gemma looks up at Nick and then decides to drag up, rather than be in the leather. Rushing off in search of a dressing room, she finds one and goes in, just as Antony is coming out.

"Err, Hi."

"Err, Hi." Antony/Jayde looks Brad/Gemma over. "Nice."

"Augh!" Gemma rushes into the dressing room and starts to search through the racks. Jayde stands at the doorway and offers comment on the choices.

"Nice color, but it wont go with those shoulders."

"Naaaaarg!"

"Stage fright" asks Jayde/Antony

"I'm just not feeling myself." replies Brad/Gemma.

A look of recognition passes over both of them. "I wish my sister with her super powers were here."

"Super powers?"

"Yeah, reading auras."

Cassy and Leda open the dressing room door and walk in. Cassy looks at Leda, "Oh, arnt they cute?"

"Drag, Brad? Does it really suit you?"

"Cover.. eep!"

Leda grabs Gemma and pulls her outside. "Come on...."

Brad is pulled back to the stage entrance, but she has a death grip on a frilly stoll and some grabbed rags. Soon they are pulled off and Jayde and Gemma stand together, as the music starts.

Mary-Jane, wearing a long, flowing, pink, Scarlet OHare dress calls out "1 minute!". She continues over to the group and squeals excitedly, "Oh, guess who's in the audience, Leda. Oh, its so cute...."

Leda looks up at Cassy and the two stare at each other for a few silent seconds becore Leda starts snapping commands out. "Cassy, you help me open, then rush out to the audience. Ill be first, so try and push the bidding up. He'll match you all the way, I'm sure, but naturally make sure he ends up paying. This is for charity remember. Brad, you'll be after me, then you can take point on the left and help Antony take bids. Nick, you get people organised in a line back here now, then you can pop out and bid on Brad if you want, but after that, back here to keep people in line."

Cassy and Leda walk out onto the stage to cheers and they start talking about 'Eryn' and 'Polly' who this event is apparently raising money for. Polly is in hospital and it seems that Eryn died somehow.

Nick kindly provides the twins with something to sooth their nerves. Vodka.

While swigging away they chat some.

Jayde, "I wish i had my powers. We could get out of here."

Gemma spots an exit. "We could run for it."

Jayde ponders, looking at Gemma in Brad's body. "No I think we should stay."

Gemma nods, then looks at what they are each wearing and tries to thwap Jayde with her 'for sale' card.

Suddenly their names are called and they walk out on the stage to cheers and cat calls.

Leda is up for auction first and she introduces a bit about herself. "Im Leda, my hobbies are everything and everyone. I like most things" she says with a cheeky smile "and just remember this is for a good cause."

Bidding starts and is quickly a contest between Cassy and David (who is in a pink suit and surrounded by large looming leather men).

Gemma tries to distract Cassy, but apparently Cassy is not that interested in Brad (for some unknown reason :).

Bidding slows around $500 and Leda offers two nights to the winner.

A couple next to Cassy bit, but after some discussion, group bids are not allowed.

A couple of bids later, with David ahead, Leda pleads for rescue from her 'fate worse than death'. Cassy pops up and the bidding resumes.

Bidding continues and soon hits $700 (Cassy's bid). David snaps and empties his whole pockets, "$734.74!!!"

Clapping and cheering. Cassy seems annoyed and asks around for some extra cash, but is quickly stopped by Antony who classes it as a group bid.

David pays up to Gemma/Brad to much cheering and clapping.

Leda, walks over to Gemma and takes the money, passing it on to MaryJane who comes out with a bucket.

Brad is auctioned next, after an unwilling spin to show his assets and a couple of comments about deflowering.

After a slow start, there is some furious bidding between Nick and another guy before a couple of very imposing gentlmen push the bidding to $500. Nick tops it at $600 and Brad/Gemma is sold (very enthusiastically by Jayde).

The auction continues. Gemma runs back stage at the first opportunity and is greeted by Nick. Gemma ends up hiding under a table curled up in a ball with Nick trying to coax her/him out with something to drink.

By the time Jayde gets relieved, Gemma and Nick are sitting on the table and Gemma is spilling her guts about how "her sister gets all the good things and now she is going to be deflowered by a gay guy."

Jayde walks up and tells Nick, "You better be careful with, err, him. He's had a lot to drink and you shouldnt take advantage of that."

Gemma, seemingly a little the worse for wear leans over and says loudly to Jayde, "Oh, he's so cute isnt he?" Nick smiles and says maybe they should go home, which Gemma agrees to.

Jayde watches them walk off, shaking her/his head. Bumming a cigarette, she sits down and ponders.

Mary Jane comes over and talks to him/her. "You ok?"

"Yeah. I guess."

Mary Jane nods and sits down with Jayde. "Can I as you some questions, about Leda and Harva?"

"Sure."

Jayde, knowing that Harva is a part owner of the shop in the future, advises Mary Jane to get a job at the bookshop. as 'they are always looking for people to help'.

By the time Cassy comes back stage, Mary Jane and Antony/Jayde are getting along famously. Mary Jane rushes off and Cassy makes some comment about Harva being a poor student and not being really involved at the bookshop. Weird.

Outside in 70's/80's SanFrancicso...

Brad/Gemma and Nick are walking home. Brad is a little drunk, but eventually they get to Nick's appartment and he opens the door. Brad/Gemma dances into the door and....
