Stakeout (part 1)

2 Sep 2000, Twins home, Sat'day 5pm

Alex is talking with David when Gemma arrives home. Jayde comes in and mentions her experiance with Leda. David decides that everyone should go out for dinner and while he is organising it, Jayde is getting changes, Leda and Gemma talk.

Discussion about anchors for Leda (her being a ghost and all). Maybe she is anchored to the slayer? Unusual, but maybe. Her anchors are possibly, the slayer, the bookshop, the house here, and her old appartment. Maybe some of these are in danger and this is causing the problems with Leda.

Expensive Berkeley restaurant, Sat'day 7:30pm

Dinner is strained with David and Alex catching up with what has been happening in their lives since L.A. David and Alex decide to do lunch on tuesday (after the scooby meeting).

Gemma and Jayde bring the conversation round to the bookshop and ask their Father about where Leda's appartment was. He happily blurts out it's location and the twins smile knowingly to each other.

The discussion about the bookshop leads Gemma to state that she is working there part time.

David, "blah blah university, grades, blah blah!"

Gemma, "Grades? Me? Blah blah? Blaaaah!"

David turns to Jayde, "Blah knows what she wants to do Blah!"

Jayde, "Blah, management, blah, crushing Jonathan, blah!"

David, "OK, blah!"

Twins, "Yes, blah, blah!"

Twins home, Sat'day 9:30pm

Having finished that conversation, the dinner eventually winds up. Jayde has to do patroling and Alex doesn't want her left alone so she comes along. Stakeing out the invisible wall at the uni, the need Faith to go hunting so they call her and tell her that (or maybe just reminder her).

'Club Throb', Sat'day 9:30pm

Faith is at a nightclub with Mary and Casey. Faith dances with everyone and noone, and eventually settles on one guy who she goes outside with and returns a couple of minutes later (alone). Mary and Casey enquire and Faith says it was a vampire. Eventually they move on from the club and Faith gets her call from Jayde and goes off patroling, much to Mary's relief.

Magical Barrier, Sat'day 9:30pm

Soon conrad rolls up at Jayde's stakeout and comments that he could cast a barrier ritual behind the wall and so the vamps could breach the wall, but not know. Todo to this he would need the aid of some of the other scoobies to help with the ritual (well supply energy) and something effected by the wall so that he could replicate the effect. Jayde rings Faith and says "We need one alive, later this morning." Faith says she will try and capture a vamp and deliver it to the wall area before dawn.

People hunker down for a long night....
