Bookshops and stuff

Jonathan goes to see Rose after his little adventure in the scooby group. Rose has taken lots of shots of fire twirling and kids. There are also shots from inside some buildings. All of the pictures have surprising contrasts of light and dark. The fire twirling pictures highlight the faces of the kids wonderfully and there are lots and lots of pictures of one kid who has a deep stare and dark dark eyes. Its all very light and very dark at the same time. Jonathan warns Rose about going out at night, but Rose isnt really worried. Rose promises to take Jonathan next time the fire twirling kids call.

Gemma is at the bookshop helping out. Lydia, the manager, shows Gemma some of the ropes of the business so to speak. Lydia and Gemma discuss how the store works and she brings Gemma up to speed on the ordering process. Little cogs in Gemma's head start to work.

After staring at the books for a while, Gemma stops and notices that she has sore eyes and its stuffy in the bookshop. She and Lydia go next door to Mario's for coffee and some more chats.

Coming back to the book shop, Gemma spots Sal coming from back half of the room. Gemma does the funky Aura thing and gets a weird vibe. Sal is transparent and the bookshop walls are orange in color. Everything is out of focus and blurry. Oook.

Jayde rolls up and Gemma greets her with the sales speel. Lydia goes wide eyed and leaves the girls to their little chatting. Jayde wants Gemma to check her out, aurawise. Gemma takes a break and goes out to Jayde's car and they sit and stare at each other. Again, Gemma's aura reading fails and Jayde also appears transparent. Stuff is out of focus and Gemma and Jayde both worry.

Jayde rushes back to Alex's office and spots Faith pacing outside it. "Im patroling tonight?" Faith asks.

"Err. Yeah. Thats right."

"Um. Great. Right. Im off then." Faith leaves.

Jayde loooks puzzled and goes in to talk to Alex. "Whats wrong with me!?!???" Alex looks at some books and stuff and asks if maybe it could be Gemma. Jayde breaths a sigh of relief.

Gemma goes back in and looks after the sales counter and stuff.

Back at the bookshop Brad and Antony roll up. "Well thats ok for you now. That used to be me!"

"Gemma! Hi! Oh great to see you here. How are you?"

"Just looking to see how the shop runs. I might come and work here a few days a week."

"Oh! Yeah, sure. Hey, have I shown you the plans out the back...?"

"Yes.. I..."

Gemma is dragged out the back by Antony who rants about putting offices in at the back of the shop and maybe even extending out into the back garden. Err. Later. If things take off.

Jayde arrives back at the house. David steals Alex for a chat and Jayde explores the house looking for Leda. She walks round the house and arrives at her bed room and spots nothing inside. Spotting a movement she turns and sees Leda walking down the hall.

"Leda!"

"Yes? Sorry? Can I help you!"

"Leda!"

"Yes, and you are....?"

"Jayde!"

"Do I know you? I... I..? The Dance party last weekend! Coming to the one this week I hope? Pink and black remember."

"Err. Eeeeeeeew! I mean, can you help me, err where is the book shop?"

"Um, across two blocks then down two sets of lights."

"The party is on when?"

"The 4th!"

"Thats June right?"

"Yeah. See you there."

"Um. Sure."

Jayde blinks and Leda walks off.
