Mary mentions to Angel that Faith has run away. He says that they need to find her. Mary runs after Wesley and calls Alex. They search the area and finally find her in the park where Mary says she should apologise to Wesley. Faith says something about Angel getting forgiven because he didn't have a soul and maybe stuff would have been better if she didn't have one either. It makes little sense to Mary.

"Wes.. I.. I'm... err..." mutters Faith.

"Sorry?" snaps Wesley?

A smile curls up on Faith's lips, "I'm curious.... how's the arm?"

Mary elbows Faith in the side and gives Faith a dirty look.

Faith's smile dissapears and she mutters "I'm sorry, ok?"

Wesley stares at her for a while and Faith shifts uncomfortably under his stare. Eventually he breaks the silence "Actually doctors say there is a good chance that I'll get back 80 to 90% of its use." He quickly snapps "Thanks for asking." onto the end.

The drive back is quiet. Faith breaks the silence by asking Wesley "Do you ever think about that stuff I said when I was torturing you? You know the stuff about Giles and Buffy?" She sounds uncomfortable and doesn't elaborate.

Wesley anwers back immediatly, "Yes. Often."

More silence.

They all arrive back at the house. Faith gets out to go inside with Angel. Mary gets out to follow. Alex is going to drive Wesley back to his hotel.

Faith knocks on Wesley's window and he winds it down a crack. "We could-a killed em, you know?" Wesley stares at her for a while and then just nods and indicates for Alex to drive off. Mary's eyes go wide in that cute, cute way and they go inside. Angel walks up to Faith but she tells him to back off and leave her alone.

Mary rushes outside and calls Alex. Alex explains that Wesley believes that that was a figure of speach, just meaning that they could have been sucessful together. Alex tends to agree, but every is somewhat nervious.

For the rest of the arvo, Mary goes back and studies, Jonathan studies, Gemma studies with a little trip to a coffee shop first. Jayde chats with Alex about info to date - Orme was a crusader with very strong religoius beliefs, and Conrad has reported that the wall is not naturally occuring but was made through the casting of magics - before going to the mall for a while.

31 Aug 2000, Thursday evening

Jayde and Alex meet Jonathan for a crash course in wearing glasses. Checking on the car number plates, one was stolen and one was from a dead dude. Jayde cleverly comments that maybe they should check out Mr Dead Dude's house first.

Alex and Jayde load up and go visit the house. Knocking at the door, they hear a sound out the back. Running round the back, the back door is ajar and they see someone scaling the fence. Jayde gives chase and Alex goes to drive round the other side and 'head em off at the pass'.

Jayde spots three Stegosaurus demons running over the fence. One seems to be slower than the others and is being helped over the fence. Jayde accellerates to catch up and arrives just as the two demons help the last one over the fence. She sprints to spring over the fence, but is grabbed by one of the remaining two and wacks into the fence. After a little bit of fisty cuffs, both demons are knocked down and Jayde leaves them and gives chase to the older one. Catching up, she grabs him and starts to drag him out to the front where Alex should be.

One of the knocked out demons has caught up and Jayde pauses for a few seconds to knock him down again with a dustbin lid to the face.

She sprints up to the running old demon and grabs his arm. He spins round, but can't quite break free. "Leave us alone!" Alex is turning the car around.

"I just want to talk...." says Jayde, trying to look non threatening.

The old demon's eyes measure up Jayde and....
