Leda Skeltys

Leda explored all of SF's rich offerings in the field of love and discovered that she was polyamory and soon discovered that she was bisexual as well.

Leda worked hard and saved some money but she wanted to work for herself not for other people so that she could shape her work to suit her community minded nature. Leda looked around and decided on an alternative book shop in the Castro district. She looked around and managed to find a couple of business partner who was willing to put up a significant amount of the money required, and Leda managed to raise the rest with a business load.

Leda's pitched the store idea to her business partners and they saw a good business opportunity, but they also saw that Leda was some sort of bizar energy bunny. The partners were a professional gay couple looking for a good investment that would also help the community and an older lesbian whose lover had died in a car crash and left her lots of money which she wanted to give away and Leda seemed to be just the person to use the investment wisely.

Leda immediately started putting her efforts into 'The 10% Bookshop' and soon it was a hub of the gay and lesbian community. Leda sank a significant amount of the profits from the book shop back into community projects.

This happy cycle continued for a number of years before her book shop started to run afoul of customs. Leda decided to fight the case as hard as she could. She looked around and decided to hire some blood thirsty lawyers so she went looking in SF and LA.

Here she met David and, despite the fact he was a straight conservative lawyer, she saw underneath that he was truly open to possibilities. The two started getting to know each other and Leda blew his mind open.

Leda was really stuck at how David actually listened and considered what she said rather than just dismissing it out of hand because she was so `weird'. Leda clued him in on how the world is and David grew.

Leda and David grew closer and closer and Leda knew that David was going to offer to drop everything to come and be with her, but Leda considered the other possibility, that she leave her life and join David. Leda knew that she was helping support her community, but if she moved to LA, she could bring some Eris to LA and David earned more money that she possibly could, and some of that could be used to continue her work.

Leda told David not to quit his work, that she would join him. David was surprised and shocked, and tried to talk her out of it, but Leda wouldn't be swayed. Leda's SF partners and work mates were angry that Leda was leaving and especially to be with a straight LA lawyer, but Leda was adamant and they knew by now that arguing was useless.

Leda moved in with David and things were going swimmingly. Soon they married and settled in to SF. The marriage was initially a surprise, both to David and to Leda, but it just felt right. Leda wasn't willing to buy into the monogamy, love, honor and obey deal, but still, she did want to be with David.

David worked hard and the couple became rich. Leda used the money to help build minority communities in LA. Strangle, everyone seemed happy.

As Leda was running an All Hallows party for David's new firm and their clients, she saw a series of signs that led her to consider having a child. Suddenly she had a vision and declared on the spot that she was going to have a child. Needless to say, it made for a memorable party, but David was happy.

Soon she was pregnant and spending lots of time talking to Stella about children and childbirth and the two became close friends.

As Leda was giving birth, things started to go wrong and Leda started to lose consciousness and as she faded out, she has a vision. She saw demons, the vampires and the killings. She also saw the the Slayer. She was visited by a shadow who greeted her as the world started to become light.

She asked about what she had seen and it explained that slayers were needed to fight the darkness and that their lives were hard and short, but that they did good and they helped. It offered Leda a choice, to give her life to bring extra power to the side of the slayer and to help the slayers fight the darkness. Leda felt that she had to say yes. She summoned her energy and poured it into the slayer spirit and felt her body slump down, empty.

The spirit pulled the spirit back and pulled some of Leda's spirit free and spoke to her again. "You have given much, and as my gift to you and to your daughters, I cast this part of you adrift". With that it set her free and she drifted around, wondering if she was a ghost.

She watched her family and their trouble and she tried to help. She discovered that she could not physically interact with them or make herself heard, but very very very rarely she could walk in people's dreams. It almost drove her mad not being able to be heard, almost like a curse. But she watched and waited, hoping she had chosen the right thing.
