John Whitley (Neo)

John is actually a nice guy. He has always been to dorky to really fit into any group. He isn't really smart, but he is sincere and wants to help people and be accepted.

Recently Val has been using this to get John to do a fair bit of his work for him. Val gets John to script kiddie systems for him and strokes his ego in return. John knows its wrong, but desperately wants to fit in. John would never actually damage a system or anything and has convinced himself that Val wouldn't either.

John has a crush on Mary, but is way too shy to say anything and usually just runs away when Mary tries to talk to him. Which is a pity, because Mary has noticed John moving to the dark side and is trying to win John back to the Light, but Val is a very good manipulator and John just clams up when Mary talks to him.
