  Info: Billy is as big as a brick wall, but, when he is not under the influence of his 'buddy' Dustin, is a sweet guy. He is a little simple, but hey, when he gets in your way, you ain't gettin' through (Naturally Billy plays defence). Dustin is Billy's best friend and role model and Billy is also doing football 101 at UCB (and if highschool is anything to go by, will need lots of help).

• Holbrook 'Hole' Olsen

  Info: Holbrook is one of those lucky enough to excell at both sports and academic pursuits. Hole was an active member of the school swim and athletics teams at highschool, but has let that slide to consentrate on his university degree. Hol is a little wary of the social pack but because of his brother Billy's popularity, he gets invited to most things.

  • Pierce & Lucy: I spend a fair bit of time with Pierce and Lucy, but they are my best friends!

  • Thomas: If I were him, I'd have nothing to do with most of these people. I find his colors a little garish at times.
  • Hoshi: Why the hell would you want to hang with these people if you are as smart as Hoshi? I just don't get those two.
  • Belinda: She's sweet enough. Nice girl really.
  • Petra: My little Miss Science. Man she's got a brain and thats why I love her. No, Belinda, she isn't going to join the cheer leading team.
  • Miram: She used to hand with Thomas but I havn't caught up with her since, oh, the year before last?
  • Portia: Havn't had the chance to really chat with her, actually. Hank said she was having some trouble with history so I lent her my notes from highschool. Like I'll ever need them again.
• Pierce Thompson
  Description: Warm, friendly, gormless, Build like a tank, nice, not brilliant, applied. Plays football offence.
  Similar Characters: Buffy's date from 'never kill a boy on a first date', only more built.
  Info: Pierce is a totally nice, warm, friendly person. He only thinks the best of people and is always willing to help, whatever the inconvenience to himself (making him popular with Jayde). He is active in the football team, but is debating football 101 vrs a real education. Pierce is totally commited to Lucy and the two of them were voted 'Couple most likely to be together in 2050'.
  • Jayde: We did our history project together. There is more to her than she lets people know.
  • Gemma: Gem and I used to cram before physics tests. She's smarter than her sister, and that's saying something. Ah, if Lucy wasn't round...
  • Dustin: He's a funny guy. Always one for fun and parties. Nice enough. Why do you ask?

  • Hole: Hole's a little quiet, but once you get him somewhere quiet, he sure can talk.

  • Thomas: A true talent. I think some of his works show his youth, but in a few years the guy is going to be big news.
  • Hoshi: I think Hoshi tries too hard to fit in. She thinks that we won't accept her, but hey, it's the year 2000 and this is America!!
  • Belinda: Belinda is such a fresh spirit for the group, she is always happy and cheery and we need more of that. People get so upset these days.
  • Petra: Petra and Lucy have been spending a fair amount of time together these days. Thats cool, because Hole rocks!
  • Miram: I remember her from last years class. Hmmm. Miram and Thomas, that could work.
  • Portia: I havn't really talked to her, but Belinda seems to think highly of her.
• Lucy McCathy
  Description: Cheerleader, uber shy and quiet wit
  Similar Characters: Probably some Jane Austin character
  Info: Lucy is a quiet person who is a little off put by the shark like nature of the popularity stakes. She tends to try and stay out of the way, quietly being nice to people and thus she is just one of the background people with little to no influence. Lucy and Pierce have been going out since Year 9 and it has been the all American romance.
  • Jayde: Intimidating. She hardly evven notices me.
  • Gemma: Gemma and I worked a little in Mr Grimbles science class the year before last and I think she likes me.
  • Dustin: Dustin is always leering at me at parties.
  • Billy: Billy and I are good friends. He nicely chaperoned me at a nightclub a few weeks ago when Pierce was away visiting some relatives and some Frat boys started hassling me.
  • Hole: He and Pierce get on really well. He's one of the nicest guys I know (next to Pierce naturally :).
  • Pierce: Wonderful. Sweetheart. *blink blink*

  • Hank: Hank is, like, way abrupt with me these days. I think he wanted to go steady but he isn't really my type.
  • Thomas: Oh, man, he is so talented. Pierce thinks his work is immature, but he listens to his (art dealer) dad too much. Pierce takes his art way too seriously.
  • Hoshi: Hoshi and I worked on a history project together and I think she gets a little impatient with people less talented than herself.
  • Belinda: Belinda is just way too perky. Still she sure got those cheerleaders into shape.
  • Petra: Petra is so cool. She and I go shopping and just hang out together.
  • Miram: Miram is so cool. Pierce tried to explain some of the art exhibits to me, but he is way too technical about it. Miram kindly took me to a few a few years back and explained it in human terms. Chill out, Honey-bunny (Pierce), its only a picture.
  • Portia: Portia seems nice the few times I have actually spoken to her. Belinda is riding her way harshly at the moment, but she does that to all the new 'leaders.
• Hank Springfield
  Description: Social executioner, popularity predator, well dressed assassin
  Similar Characters: Elton from Clueless only shark like.
  Info: Hank is armed with a mobile phone and the latest fashion. He is the hub of all gossip in the Berkeley area and he keeps track of peoples popularity stocks. He is ground zero for any social bomb. Hank and Jayde together set the social stocks of all others in the clique, with acceptance from both being required to be really influential.
  • Jayde: You and me, we could rule this place.
  • Gemma: Who? Oh yeah, Jayde's younger sister. We don't chat much.
  • Dustin: You are so talented to be able to run with a ball. No, no, I really mean that. Have a Bud, buddy. Hey, she's not going out with anyone.
  • Billy: An ox. Yeah, but harmless enough I guess.
  • Hole: Thinks he's too good to hang around with us. Who the #*$& else is he going to hang with?
  • Pierce: Yeah, yeah. He's ok. Just.
  • Lucy: I think I'd die if she ever started a conversation without Pierce around. Oh wern't they joined at the hip back in 3rd grade?

  Info: Thomas creates the most amazing parties, artworks and even styles know on the planet. While his fashion is more than, err, a little brave, he is welcomed into the social group because of the amazing things he creates and his obvious talent. Thomas doesn't play the social game, but his abilities allow him to have cred dispite his reluctance to play.

  • Gemma: Too shy. She needs to blossom like a flower.

  • Miram: Oh, I think I saw some of her work at the school, but we never actually met.
  • Portia: I don't think we met. My sister doesn't like her, so she must be ok.
• Hoshi Chen

  Info: Hoshi is extreamly talented and she knows it. Sports wise, she was captain of the school gymnastics team and lead them to a second place in the state championships. Academically she was just about the equal of the 'geek' faction. She aims to be a rich and sucessful, err something, she hasnt quite decided yet, but definatly rich and sucessful something. She circles the social clique like a shark and is second only to Jayde and Hank in terms of social position and gossip. As will all things that she attempts, Hoshi intends to end up top of the social group.
  • Jayde: Smart, physical, top performer in everything, stuck with loser siblings. Exactly the same as me really. Maybe we should have been related, rather than being lumped with our deadwood brothers and sisters.
  • Gemma: Why hang round with the geeks and nerds? Like our group is stupid (well ignoring people like Dustin). She should have joined her sister and the rest of us. She seemed smart enough.
  • Dustin: Oh, puleeze.
  • Billy: Get me a drink, Billy. Thanks.
  • Hole: Another one of these 'too good for me', people like, Gemma. Loser.
  • Pierce: I think he fancies Petra. That would shake Lucy up.

  • Belinda: I think God subtraced from her IQ to add to her bust. She, like most of the other sheep, is the material for myself and Hank, oh and Jayde when she is around, to play the popularity game with.

  Info: Belinda was the head of the school cheerleaders. So the vote said, anyway. Everyone in the school knew that it was really Jayde who really ran the operation, designing all the cheers, and organising everyone, but somehow Belinda won the ballot to determine the captain.

  Info: Petra was a science geek at highschool, but she fell in with Holbrook during one class and next thing she knew she was pulled into this cheerleader social circle.
