Val Kennedy (Glitch)

Val's handle, Glitch, became his school nickname soon after he arrived when, after a run in with one of the football team. Val had been beaten up and swore revenge. The 5 days later, the jock in question found that his drivers permit had been canceled due to 'drink driving'. His parents brought in the lawyers and the police apologized for the computer glitch. Val was pounded on again and three days later it happened to another jock too.

Val walked up to the jocks table the next day at lunchtime and sat down. Before he was beaten senseless, he explained how bad it would be for a footballers future if, rather than a drink driving problem losing them their license, a drug possession wound up on their record before they went for sports scholarship interviews at universities. "That sort of question mark never goes away from an athlete's record, even if it is just a computer glitch". Eventually one of the smarter jocks realized the link between Val and what was happening. They wanted to kill him, but none of them wanted to risk it either. Val managed to stare down the whole table of jocks, and they moved off to another table. Glitch won the table, buckets of fear and respect from all the other students and his school yard freedom.

Val's school marks have always been 'A+', even if his efforts in class don't seem to hold up to that, but these days, no one asks questions about Val and everyone leaves him alone.

Rumor has it that Val is some uber-cracker at night and school law has it that he has access to all the computers at school, at the police, the DMV, and just about anywhere else you can mention, but Val neither confirms or denies such statements (which only builds his Rep).
