She was born in L.A. (at UCLA where they worked) but didnt fit in with her parents lifestyle. Her parents moved away from all Kelly's friends when she was 6 and moved into a commune type existance. Kelly started having nightmares and became a nightmare child soon after. She was found smoking, drinking and setting fires often in the next few years. In 1978, her house caught fire and burned both parents alive. Blame was never firmly placed on Kelly, although suspicion abounded.
Kelly did not seem at all upset about her parent death. She was given to her mothers bachelor brother, Daniel Morgan, a stockbroker in Chicago in 1979 and discovered the life she loved. Daniel and Kelly quickly found a happy home. Kelly loved money and Daniel (to his surprise) loved having a bright keen child around. Kelly soaked up all Daniel had to teach her.
Kelly did all the house work in return for the wages of the maid they sacked. She invested it with Daniel's help (and some of his money as a tax dodge for him) and the pair bloomed in the 80's boom. Kelly excelled at school, wanting to become just like her 'dad'. With Daniel's skills, both of them escaped the 80's bust and even came out ahead, milking the smaller players for profits.
school 1980-1887, uni 1988-1991, 1992-1994 By the age of 16 she was a smart, spoilt rotten brat. She had all the boys in her class wrapped around her finger. At 17, she returned to L.A. to start her uni education and attend UCLA working on a B.Econ. She finished in the top 10% of her class, but skipped honours and instead went to do a MBA from Harvard.
After her MBA, Kelly returned to Chicago and became a corperate player. She wanted money and power and she would do anything to get it. She became sucessful and rich very quickly.
In 1997, Daniel was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Kelly was truly struck by loss for the first time in her life. She had no experiance with dealing with loss and her work suffered a little as she tried to look for meaning in her life (profits dropped). She started to think about her mother and father's beliefs, but could remember little. She knew that they took comfort from something but she could nolonger remember any of what they used to tell her.
Kelly started reading about spirituality, but felt disconnected from it. Nothing she read struck a cord with her, but she knew she was missing something.
In early 1998, Daniel died. Kelly took a month off and did nothing by cry. She missed Daniel, pained, almost hungering for his company, his presence was almost a need in her life that had been taken away. The pain has dimmed to a dull ache and the need/desire still remains, unquenchable.
Kelly redecorated Daniel's appartment and now lives there alone. The place seems so empty without Daniel, his laugh, his lessons and the ever present sweet smells of his cooking 'experiments'.
Soon after, Kelly was contacted by the Garou who explained her true nature to her. Her passage has been made more difficult by the fact that she seems to be somehow tainted, and the scorn that taint attracts with it. She listens to the ways of the garou and of gaia and is trying to reach past the disconnection she feels, but it seems an insurmountable gulf.
