Kat writes down the title of the book. { dm Book is quite old, about the lives of some of the earlier saints. One of the stories does involve evil in the night. Quite rare, they will have to make a lot of effort to get a copy. } Find photos in bedroom (isn't Brendan wonderful! :) :) in the diary: "These photos were given to me by one of my flock, Grant Mcleod, who seems to believe that on of these people 'flew'. I promised to investigate. He seems upset by what he has seen." Drive to jarrad's place. { jarrad kat Go and chat to Nicole. She points to country road man and says that someone is following him. I don't think we need to go into where the tongs are. Good evidence for the police to find :) voicemail :) Investigate the photographers house. The door is not closed, the smell of blood and chemicals is intensely strong. A dripping sound can be heard. Cat finds a woman in the bathtub, dead, the water is crimson. Jarred finds the photographer in the darkroom, drowned in the chemicals, his face slightly burnt by the acids. All the negatives have been removed from the darkroom. There is a childs room, and a kid in the family snaps, but there is no child to be found. They didn't check in the freezer however :) While they are creeping around the house, Brendan, who is waiting in the car, notices that the door has just opened. Highly spooked they eventually find Ingrid hiding in a couch. Muttered words. No respect these youngsters. Go and see the photographers studio. Jarred picks the lock, but notices that it appears to have been picked recently (scratches around the lock) It has been ransacked. Cat takes out her aggression on a door, after some quick weight training, the door is sundered, to reveal more ransacking, and no negatives. Cat calls in her mobile as stolen, and manages not to frenzy at the operator. Later disposes of the mobile carefully. { sandra brendan 10pm Stuff happens in the car that Cam will type in. Brendan goes off down the driveway and watches the car. The car catches on fire. Brendan runs over and pulls the door open and reaches in and... the fire goes out. The nurse runs over to jarrad, "Help me." Looking bored, "Stop what you are doing to this woman." "Do you want some?", pinning the nurse to a tree. The nurse pleads with her eyes for your help. "Why not. After you." She drinks from the nurse, taking a fair bit more than you think safe. "Your turn." Jarrad takes two points. "I've never killed anyone before." She pulls a knife and hands it to Jarrad. Jarrad takes it. "I guess I have to do it sometime." He pumps strength and slits the nurses throat. She throws the knife away. "Feel free to call me again if you see me." Jarrad says as he leaves. } { cat Cat scores a virgin but leaves him intactae(sp?) } Jarrad returns to the car and the others look at him strangely. Sandra wakes up. } [9pm] Cat upon seeing the tired and worn Brendan interrogates her baby brother mercilessly, thumbscrews and all. He admits that he got lucky with the dark haired woman and some friends including Toby. A chair was involved somehow to. The chair still has a smile on its face :) While Cat is in an interrogatory mood, she has a go at Jarred when he turns up about his efforts in the park last night. While Cat sniffs around in the kitchen to auspex the toaster, and Brendan has a shower, Jarred watches the TV: * In Hawthorn today a man was found staked through the heart, dumped outside a church. Police are still following leads, but are quite certain of catching the brigands. * Monkey can use a swing. Wow! That will teach you to watch Chanel 10. * Reruns of Seinfeld follow. Brendan & Cat drives her nice black SAAB convertible to a goth club that is open at 9:30pm on a monday night. (In Adelaide maybe?) Brendan thinks of blood! In the end they decide to a pub somewhere, or maybe The Tunnel. Need blood! Turns on the Awe and is promptly surrounded by twenty teenagers screaming "Trent!" pushing their warm bodies full of hot blood pumping through their veins filling his nostrils with the scent of needed food. In the end they line up and he sips his fill on them one by one. { jarrad Burns his clothes and stuff. } [12am] They drag their noses out of the trough, and drive towards the hospital. ==== Thu Aug 27 19:54:34 EST 1998 ==== [12:30am] The hospital! (Brendan remembers security cameras in the hospital foyer) Brendan talks to a nurse who thinks he looks like Trent, but tells them to come back during visiting hours. Jarrad 'convinces' the nurse to take them for a look see. They rush off to the priests ward, and the nurse scurries off. They wake the priest up. Jarrad tells him to forget the photos. Then he dominates again and tells the priest to forget them as well (D'oh!). They call the nurse and they get taken down to the foyer and rush out as an ambulance pulls up, sirens blaring. [1pm] 'Sneak' up to the priests house and open the door. Priests house has been ransacked, and his lock box removed. They all sneak away except for cat who steps on a rubbish lid on the way out, and wakes up the whole neighbourhood while clanging off down the path. When they finally arrive back at the car, the others don't snigger, well not too much anyway. [2am] Prince is attacked by the sabbat and rescued by the 'other pack'. [2:30am] Cat rolls up. Some vamps there. { jarrad Jarrad chats to the goth at the bar (now seated). She is cynthia kendal, piano player extrodinare (well in pubs anyway :) Sister is crystal. } { cat Goth at the bar is a vamp. } Chat to roger about his wonderful saving of the prince (oh and the others helped). I have more important things to deal with. { brendan jarrad Go back to jarrad's place and check it out. Wow, lets throw bricks at the windows. Baff! } Go to the masquerade. Feel weird. Cat walks off scanning like a pathetic flesh roomtemp radar. Cat sees an old weird woman who appears to be wounded dissappearing down an alley opposite The Masquerade. Brendan and Cat follow her, and see her at the end of the alley asking to be let in. When the others get there, including a couple of bouncers from the club, she is gone. Cat touches the wall and gets weird images of being stabbed in an alley and being cooked in a desert. Give up and run away like the chickens you are. Sandra chats to Consuella about stuff. Consuella hasn't done enough homework (the garou ate my homework!). Brendan chats to ruby about being a bad boy. [12am] { jarrad Someone breaks into jarrads house. Chat to oliver about getting a gun. Meets Sgnt Bob and Detective Wilson and explains why the voice sounds like her. They don't sound convinced when she protests her innocence, which is alright, because she is lying. They let her leave, but take voice and finger prints for later analysis. They will be in touch. "Call me on 0419 123 456, I think you may be in danger" } { jarrad sandra Sandra gets a visitor and jarrad gets a gun. } Meet at brendans and talk about the card that Cat found. Bloke will be meet them at 10. { cat Goes to Nicole, and relays story about photographer and the priest and the police. Nicole looks pained. After a brief amount of questioning Nicole says that she will see what she can do but promises nothing due to the current over-use of the police, but as Nicole puts it, Cat will not be a really useful member of the Camarilla if she has to leave town, also she has proved herself useful to the Prince. Nicole says that Cat will owe a really large favour, but she will see what she can do to modify the evidence. } { jarrad sandra Jarrad and sandra rolls up to the resterant. Cynthia is playing piano. The music is nice, but it is difficult to really tell as the playing a little technical. Crystal comes over and joins Jarrad and Sandra at the table. A little confused conversation about just who is what sort of creature and stuff follows. Jarrad is poking his finger with a knife, slowly drawing blood. Crystal looks at it and bites her lips. [11:30pm] Go to "Hildergard's friend" place. All around the place are books and paper and on the walls are writing (latin?) and lines. Hildergard's friend is call Julian. He seems intent on what he is doing. He talks about the Sabbat being here not to take the city, but rather to hunt someone way old and way evil. Cat supplies Julian info and Julian supplies people with some clue-by-4's. "I dont think the Sabbat are here to take the city" "The attack on the prince must serve another purpose for the Sabbat or maybe it was initiated by the one they hunt." "I think the EvilOne(tm) is in the city already. Probably in the Camarilla somewhere. It could be anyone." "Dont think of the Sabbat as mindless killers. Dont underestimate them." (And Aaarggh!ing) [1:00am] === Thu Sep 17 19:56:07 EST 1998 === Split up to hunt. { cat As Cat is walking to the Masquerade, she hears a "Psst!" from the alley next to the nightclub. She goes carefully into the alley, while Jarred continues into The Masquerade. There is a grungy looking woman, about 20 years old. She says "I'll let you drink my blood for $100", obviously a junkie. When Cat refuses, she lowers the price, and Cat just throws $50 at her in disgust, and walks into the night club. She then goes into the nightclub and mentions what happened to Laura, who asks, "How did she know you were a vampire? Find out, and get back to me." Woops! Cat goes back out to the alley, but the girl has gone, with a fantastic use of her eerie mystic powers, Cat thinks that she went into the nightclub. Talking to a bouncer, reveals that about ten girls matching that description went into the nightclub in the last twenty minutes. Cat goes into the labyrinth, and notices that people are wondering casually away from a point, so she goes in and investigates. She finds the girl convulsing with a needle in her arm. Using her sleeve she pulls the needle out of the junkies arm and then went to find a bouncer who goes "Another OD! *sigh*" Cat then goes and relates to Laura what happened. (Humanity loss of 5tmp) } { dm Junkie who hangs around The Masquerade, giving blood to Vamps. The constant exposure to Vamps while shooting heroin has awakened a form of Auspex in her, so she can generally spot Vampires. She used the $50 that Cat gave her to buy some H, that was unexpectedly pure, and OD'd on it. Junkie will live. She got taken to the Prince Alfred Hospital in an ambulance. } Jarrad and Cat feed from the unsuspecting and lonely public. { brendan Brendan chats about Humanity and how evil the sabbat are. He sells his soul to eternal damnation. :) Again as dwagon said. :) He will chat to the Evil People In Question(TM) at some later date. ;) } [2:00am] Cat angsts. The night clubs are quiet when they pass them, but the police seem quite busy. Cat talks to Uncle T . You're on the air. The roll up to the cemetry. Apparently the Sabbat have Ramone. In the cemetery they see people flitting through the shadows. Hildegard thinks that they will leave you alone. Jarred spies Yaz sitting on a headstone, surrounded by people burried up to the necks. Cat sense angry dead all around them. There is howling. It just keeps on getting better and better. Hobbes is also sitting a grave. Does the sabbats lack of respect ever end? Cat puts the blinkers on. Reclining on a gravestone is Ms Death, annoying the local daisy population. Cat goes for a chat. The others notice someone (still living) doing a body-meld with a stone cross, screaming at you with their eyes. The mouth has been sealed off. Ewww! Blood streams down the body, dripping down onto an ecstatic Flynn. OK, this is where it all starts to get fun. Cat blurrs over to Flynn and puts the boot into him, but only slightly hits him in the nose. Brendan tries to trip her, but minutes too late, while Jarrad just looks huh? Combat happens. The thumping starts at the door. The robot sentries entirely fail to exist. Screaming, shouting, gunfire, more screaming, the sounds of glass breaking, the thumps of bodies hitting the ground. Brendans car defects to the dark side and tries to drive up the front stairway, forgetting the reinforced concrete pillars up the front. More arcs, "zzzzZZZAaargh!", Thump! The lights come on. A car starts bashing into the back wall. The library goes mysteriously dark. The grunt inside stumbles out dragging a chair. Jarrad, Cat and Brendan defend the dining room as someone tries to burst through the windows, but the perps are arced out. Hairy arms punch through the windows and a ugly head pushes through. Brendan goes "Aaaagh!" and empties his gun into it. The head slips back out of the window. Brendan gibbers and runs away. There's gunfire in the library, and some encyclopedias as well. People are starting to come in from a variety of places. Some howls split the night causing the screams and gunshots to cease momentarily. Blam, blam, aaah, oof, budda-budda, moohaaha, etc. Jarrad helps the grunts in the library, killing a psycho axeman quite brutaly and totally fails to feel any remorse. Cat holds off the hordes bursting in through the dining room. People hold them off, while Jarrad seems to have embraced Sandra. Brendan gets his arm munched again. Jarrad sees the BFTTSNB and runs in panic. Brendan, having cut sandra in 1/2 takes the top 1/2 and runs down the hall. He loses Sandra and gets thwapped by the parts. Deciding he wont make it he leaps off the stairs and runs. He kills someone and hides under the sink. #Thur 22 April Bodies are dragged downstairs to the celler, and drained of blood on an altar/draining table. Afterwards, corpses are stacked in one corner, vamps are staked and laid out in another. People are told they are sleeping down here tonight. Brendan and H go into the next room and shut the door. People collapse and sleep. { brendan Has chat with Hildergaard during the day about her past. She tells how she was born an anti valkery, was embraced because of her looks, killed her family, her masters and then returned home, saw odin and fought. Its the anniversiry of her embrase and the loss of her family. } Weds 10th Dec 1992 ======================== Jarred wakes up and heads for the door. He is attacked from behind by a strong someone with very sharp nails. After a bit of a scuffle, he is thrown onto the pile of corpses. His attacker heads for the door, with both Jorg and Brendan in pursuit. Brendan has an Uzi *sigh* and uses it. Pusuit leads out through the kitchen into the backyard. Brendan gets toasted when he trys to follow the attacker into the garage. Some more flame and an empty uzi later and there is a quite injured werewolf out cold. H comments that weapons fire is a bad thing, and drags the werewolf off to the celler for questioning. { jarrad Meanwhile, Jarred heads for the front door and freedom. On the way out, he bumps into the butler, who suggests that he have a look at the news before he leaves. The Octogon Hotel exploded when a petrol tanker crashed into it. More fires and explosions in the city. Violence and mayhem. While not stated explictly, the city is fairly much under martial law. He calls Ruby on her mobile, wanting to know what the fuck is happening. She says war, that Samual and Nicole are missing, fires and explosions, that she is having trouble figuring out what exactly is going on. That she is keeping her head down and trying to survive. Jarred says he is at Hildergards, that is was attacked by furry creatures, that he is here with Brendan and the rest of the gang. That he is getting out, since he is sick of being a frontline grunt. Also that Sandra was in the attack on the house. When he asks between who is fighting who, she loses her temper a bit and tells him he supposed to be politically astute, he should be able to work it out for himself. Jarod says he is sick of this shit and hangs up on her. He then goes to find H to give her a piece of his mind.... the butler directs him to the backyard. } When everyone gathers, H tells them that she knows who attacked them. It was the mage, and that it is vendetta which will be resolved in the next few days. She tells everyone to get lost, for Jorg to take them to one of the safe houses, for everyone to protect Jorg and Toby. The butler comments that Toby went out 3/4 hour ago. Eventually, people get a car and head off to look for Toby in his usual nightclub spots. Role up to the Coluseum. Lose track of Jorg on the way in. Jarred heads off to hunt, Brendan looks for Toby. { jorg Jorg does mask of a thousand faces to blend with the young, buff crowd and goes looking for toby. } { amber Amber chats with Toby, and gets some money. Give this munber as contact to PI. Then drives around to see if he can find the Sabbat. Checks out the cemetary and the bridge under king st - no sign of them oddly. While his is looking into the cemetary, his vision magnifies suddenly and then drops back to normal. How disconcerting. Attempts to find Jorg at the Masquerade. Not finding him there, calls him and arranges to meet at the Treasury Gardens. } { jorg jarred 2:30am ish, treasury gardens. Can't get in touch with H, has probably changed number and left town. She seemed to indicate she was leaving town.... Down in the basement jezabel searches for Elizabeth. Finding her, they hug (*what a heart breaking scene*). The other vamps are fead to her and she wakes, still groggy. Everyone gets upstairs and plans the next move when a woman walks in. She looks aroung stunned and screams. Brendan, thinking quickly screams too. Jezebel shoots the woman in the head. Elizabeth runs out, brendan chases. Someone else walks in and Jezabel kills him too. Jezabel runs out too. The house starts to come alive. Brendan runs off and they all escape, (with elizabeth driving). "Im hungry!" says elisabeth. Jezabel shoots her and they drag her into the back seat. Brendan drives while jezabel strokers her bleeding body. Dumping the car, they break into a house and kill the people inside. A man and a woman are killed in the front room. Head off for the Espy. 9:20pm: Arrive at the Espy. Locate Jan who is setting up to play, say hi and ask if he can play the keyboard. She says ask chris and points him out. Jarrod looks at him and decides not (he's AWFULLY big). They grab drinks and find a table near the front window. Chat a bit until they see Stewart arriving. Jan jumps up to greet him, and jarred waters a nearby plant with his drink. Stewart grabs a drink and they rejoin Jarred. Chat about their lives since uni. Jan never bothered with her degree as she got more interested in playing drums with her band, Trailer Trash. She seems to be even more laid back than before (maybe it has something to do with some of the things she smokes/injests??). Stewart has been working as a Tech for Xerox, and loving it. He gives out his card, and jarred realises he doesn't have one. (Stewart says jarred should be a company so he is not liable.) He also meet Lise there, and she's just ace, she's on a river cruise tonight (she's thinking of doing one of those strip cruises for her hen's night *shudder*). After 10 mins, jarred gives up waiting for tim and starts his pitch. It's basically that haven't we all found our lives a little boring simce we settled into work? Turn up to the masquerade and get directed into samual's office. He is looking ok, if very busy preparing for the primogen meeting. He has asked to see jarrod to express his appreciation personally for jarrod's role in recent events, and to offer him a choice: a more permanent position somewhere (since there have been some recent openings ;), or stay on as an independent investigator. He wants to organise this before the meeting tomorrow, and wants Jarrods views. The second may be good as it will give him a wider experience before he settles into a more focused position. He also comments that he knows the clan may move slowly, but to remember he has more than 10 years to make a career. Jarrod looks suitably gratified (you little brown-nose!!!!!! :):):) and opts to stay on as an investigator. Samual looks pleased, and restates that he should recruit some ghouls since most of his original group is now "unavailable", and that it will be a good way to check Jorg out too. Brendan feeds Amber 4 points of blood and Amber desperatly gulps it down. Brendan takes his friend out into the front room. He bites and drains all her blood. Brendan feeds amber and other 10 points of blood. "I need to hunt now." "Dont leave me." 12:15am "I have to hunt." Brendan leaves. } { amber 12:30 Amber wakes up and feels sick. She pukes mostly congealed blood all over the bedroom floor. } { brendan 1:00am Brendan finds a hooker and, using presence, gets her to come party. They purchase some drinks and go party. 4:30am Brendan rolls back to the house. He and his new friend start to pash. Brendan bites and takes 3 points. She faints and passes out. He then searches her house and finds drugs of some sort. He leaves them, leaves $100 and drives off. Brendan shops at a supermarket. Disprin and stuff. He drives back. } { brendan amber 5:45am Brendan arrives back. He wakes amber and gives her some drink. } { jarred jorg Attend the primogen meeting - see primogen.html (there is alot of 'huh?? what's that all about??' from Jorg - Jarrod usually says 'i dunno - and i should god dammit!!!') Afterwards, the guys get to meet all the movers and shakers in the Ventrue. They are also introduced to Anton, who says he will meet with them the next evening - someone will contact them with the details later. The meeting breaks up within about 30 minutes. Jarrod mentions that he wants to check out the SCA house tonight in case amything is happening. He thinks he would recognise the King or Queen and it would score them big browny points if they could be taken and handed in to the Camarilla - after all, they're only Hildergard's childer. They head out to Blackburn and there is indeed a revel there tonight. Jorg decides he should go in as he can disguise himself and Jarred can't. Jorg hits on the brilliant idea of going in as the sorceress Hildergard... but can't quite pull it off. He decides to just skulk in and wing it. :):) Jarred will wait abit then head off. } { jorg He finally settles for sulking invisibly into the coat room and stealing a big black cloak. People are busy dancing and chatting. The remains of a meal are on a table by one wall in the main room. The new king and queen sit on thrones on a slightly raised dais chatting to some people. At midnight the dancing stops and people gather. The King makes a speech about putting recent events behind then and rebuilding. He then starts making appointments and recognising rank and achievements. When he's finished, the Queen also makes some appointments, then hands back to the King. As he goes to speak again, there is a flash in the space between the court and the dais. A man high blaze of fire springs up, and then a man appears in the middle of it. The fire dies and the man declaims "I am Ulf, apprentice to the Sorceress Hildergard. I seek my mistress, where is she?" Needless to say, he makes quite and impression. After the herald calms things down, Ulf and the King chat. He says they haven't seen her since the last king and queen held court 2 weeks ago, before they and other members of the court left to found a new kingdom. Ulf is unsatisfied with this answer - the king suggests they adjourn to his study for a more private talk. He escorts the queen into the study, and the herald minds the door after Ulf enters. The king drops the pose once they are in private and says they have no idea what happened. The police have asked but they all seemed to have disappeared. Ulf states that his mistress tower was attacked and that many brave warriors fell in battle. The king is gobsmacked when he realises that Ulf is serious. He stares out of the window shocked. The queen tells Ulf that they've told him all the know and to see the police if he has more questions. She tells him to leave, and that quite frankly they don't need this bullshit. They're trying to rebuild and if he's interested in that cult crap he can go elsewhere! She has opened the door and is shouting by the end. People look suprised. Ulf bows and takes a polite leave, walks out, conflagrates and disappears. He returns the cloak, and heads a couple of blocks down the street to call Jarrod. } { jarred Back in the car, Jarred tries to see if he can play with the strange new abilities he seems to have lately. He sees a cat across the street and tries to focus his vision. The cat doesn't seem to clearer, but he can suddenly hear small scratching noises as the cat digs in the garden. Neat! This seems like what Cat could do with her early Auspex skills. He decides to keep practising. :):):) It's now been about 3/4 hour, and Jorg hasn't been kicked out, so he decides to head off and hunt. Head to the Masquerade. Go looking for Anita, but she is not around that he can see. Time to hunt. Find a group of girls who look very fit. They're all in finance and investment banking, so Jarred fits right in. After drinking and chatting, Jarred manages to walk one of them off to find a taxi with a friend. On the way back, he manages to get a snog and quick bite to eat. The blood tastes subtly different and he ends up with a nice alcholic glow. His mobile rings as he's walking her back - she goes in Jarred heads back down the street abit. } { jarred jorg Jorg says he got in, but they don't know anything. Bummer. Oh and he might have broken the masquerade. How many hours is it since he was presented again? Maybe this is a record. :) *sigh* Can Jarred come and pick him up? He's on the corner of blah and blah streets. Jarrod mutters abit darkly to himself. I'll be there in about 3/4 hour. } { jarred After he hangs up, Jarred notices he has a message. Have to get her christmas present. What would she want. Hmmm, have to try David Jones first thing tomorrow evening. His mobile rings again - it's Consuela and she sounds SOOO happy. The new Archon has made her messenger to let Jarred know he will meet him and Jorg at the Masquerade tomorrow at midnight. Poor Consuela, reduced to doing messages, that must suck. Yes it does. Now you can be a messanger boy and tell Jorg. *click* Go and say goodbye to the girls, get the car and head off to blackburn. } { jorg As he hangs up the phone, catch sight of someone looking at him from back towards the SCA house. He steps back into shadows and obfuscates, then walks back up the center of the street towards the figure which has disappeared. No sight of the person, stop and listen. After a minute, hear a loudly whispered "NO!!". It seems to come from the small park. Further investigation reveals two people sitting in some bushes arguing. They are dressed in dark clothes. '...too dangerous!' 'But he mentioned her name! Look Terry, I know you worry about me, but we can't keep on like this. It's been 2 weeks now. If we don't grab this chance there may not be another!' 'My lady Emma, if you are resolved on this, at least let me be the one to contact him. That way, there is still time for you to get away if anything goes wrong...' A good plan. Unfortunatly, Jorg has already lifted off and comes crashing down into the bushes. Terry immediately throws Emma out through the bushes gasping 'run!' Jorg uses a finger flame to be able to catch Terry's eye. 'Sleep!' Terry crumples while trying to draw his sword. Jorg leaps out of the bushes - and lands feet first on her stomach. She folds in a heap, swearing. After people sort themselves out and Emma is sure Terry is ok, some facts emerge. They are Emma (previous SCA queen) and Terry (former SCA master at arms). They survived the carnage of the fight at Hildergard's, and helped each other heal. A while later, the butler gave them money and told them to get out and not to come back to this house unless they were contacted. Since then, they have been hiding out in a boarding house, with Emma alternatly feeding off Terry, or off people he lures into fist fights and knocks out. (he doesn't hurt them really - he's very careful!) They really need help... this was the only place they knew as a contact point, and they knew there was a revel tonight, so they came. They were hiding out listening to Ulf (Jorg actually). They remembered him defending the stairs during the fight. Jorg says they can come with him and he will help, but they must obey him. Emma says they will never spend themselves in fighting like that again - she won't sacrifice Terry's or her own life for nothing. Jorg says ok, and feeds Terry blood to wake him (but he isn't hurt, why does he need blood? it will wake him...) Terry grabs their coats, and they wash off the blackface. She is tied to a stone table and is all bruised and a few broken legs and stuff. "Errrrrr." William walks past her and starts to wash his hands. Brendan (an egyptian vampire?) leans down beside amber. "Ok for a human. But look, she is losing her ability to truly experiance the pain." He pulls back ambers head and puts his cut wrist at her mouth. Blood flows into her mouth and she chokes it down. She feels her wounds heal and sensation return. "Bring me the reeds." William puts away a cloth towel covered with ambers blood that he has been using to wipe his hands over and over again. He reaches over and picks up some reeds from a jar, the sort of reed that slices skin. Brendan leans down, "Now remember, you can stop all this by just screaming. Is that too much to ask?" He starts to slice ambers back and she starts to scream. "Aughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" The vampire calls over to the "Bring the mixture. It should add to her experiance". Brendan is sitting in the Kings chair and Toby is sitting in the queens thrown. "She screamed?" "Yes my King?" answers the vampire brendan torturer. "Really? Show us." The king and toby walk down. Toby says excitedly, "Yes, show us! What fun!" Amber is placed on a table. Some reeds are brought. Brendan leans down, "Now my queen. I dont want you to scream. Obey me." Amber looks up at him, confused, pleading and scared. The slicing cuts start. Amber grits her teeth and tries to muffle her screams. } Boxing Day Night ---------------- { jarred Wakes up very early, having dressed the night before (he doesn't roll in his sleep so things don't crease :):). Head straight for David Jones in the city. Buys a beautiful (and expensive!) leather briefcase and a silver fountain pen. Gets both engraved with Jane's initials and gift wrapped. Pays with the credit card in his name. Goes back to his car and makes some calls. Jan: meet tomorrow night? Cool. 10pm at blah. Tim: *sounds of people in the background, a resturant?* This is all childish crap. I have a career, prospects, money and great life - what can you offer? A bigger ladder than you ever knew existed! Hmmm, ok. Meet you at 9:40pm at blah. He hangs up first again! (wot a bastard - he will pay) Stuart: Linda picks up the phone. So you're Jarred, heard so much about you, want to meet all Staurt's uni friends, you must come to dinner, sure we'll get on like a house on fire! (visions of cat?? :) Gets Stuart. He's really sorry but he just can't. Marriage and children beckon around the corner - he hope's Jarred can understand? But please, come for dinner, after New Year? Excellent. Jarred grabs the present and heads to the door. Jane sounds excited as she buzzes him up. She opens the door and springs a rather large present on Jarred. She looks really touched when he hands her one too. She makes him open his present first. Jarred unwraps a tailored, elegant black leather suit jacket, and sits looking rather stunned - this would have cost quite alot. He trys it on and it fits beautifully. She opens his present is rendered rather speechless by the briefcase. Jarred gets her to look inside, and the fountain pen leaves her completely speechless. She jumps up and hugs Jarred, then pulls back blushing. Jarred thanks her for all she has done for him. He says that she has helped him get back in touch with parts of himself that he thought he was in danger of losing. She knows what he is, and he is not proud of some of the things he has done. She has helped keep him together. She is silent for awhile and then looks at him and simply says she would do anything for him. The hug again and she is rather trembly - it's not quite a platonic hug. Jarred offers her blood and this is very sensual. They end up swapping a couple of points between them - Jarred has never done this and it is quite an amazing experience for both of them. Suprisingly, they end up in her bed. :):):) Despite some intial worry, everything works ok, if a little bit differntly, as Jarred finds out later in the bathroom. Well at least pregnancy won't be a problem. Jarred tells Jane he has an important meeting and has to leave, but thanks her for what they just shared. She looks a little uncertain about whether this change in their relationship is ok. Jarred reassures her that it is VERY ok. He trys to surreptitiously slip his gun from his old jacket into the new leather one, but Jane sees it. She just says to be careful, she would not like it if anything happened to him. He says it's fine and slips the jacket on, much to her delight. He says he will see her tomorrow - she gives him a big smile and hug as he leaves. } { amber brendan 9pm Amber screams again and brendan sits up, covered in conjealed blood. "Amber amber!" Before she can drink, Jezabel pulls brendans arm from ambers lips. A look of shock and surprise comes to ambers face and Jezabel stares directly into ambers eyes. Something is passing between the two of them. Jezabel smiles and lets brendans arm go. AMber starts to drink. Brendan feeds amber a point. 5:00am Amber calls home and says she is fine. Jezabel says good night to Brendan. Then she returns and bits good night to amber too. Its a different feel of dream, its not as imersion, but more a sort of lucid dream quality. Brendan and Jezabel (Aken and Semenkari) have come down from the throwns. Apparently Brendan was going off to do something and Amber has blurted out something like: "If you leave then so will I. I will go to the northern palace!" Brendan and Jezabel come closer. Brendan looks surprised and scared Jezabel looks between Amber and Brendan in her usual inscrutable predatorial way. "We have to talk about things Brendan. I think this is important, but as always, it is your decision to make." Brendan looks torn. Finally he resolves, "I have to go". "I wont be here when you come back." Amber challanges, feeling the fear that her bluff will be called. Fear of being make to look weak by stepping down and, maybe even worse, the possibility that she will leave. "But I have to...." brendan asks, silently continuing '.. please understand.' "Stay here with me." Amber begs. Brendan looks pained "But I have to deal with things outside these walls. You of all people should know that. I have to do this." Amber holds her ground and her stare. Jarrad replaces Jezabel, "We have things to settle. Lets go." Brendan looks pleadingly at Amber. He is silent, but his features plead 'please dont...' Cat appears, "All this is because of you!" Brendan closes his eyes attempting to shut it all out. Time crawls on. Brendan silently pleads, Amber silently hopes. Brendan heart is visibly torn open. He steps forward and hugs Amber. Amber stands, but the hug is not their usual embrace (that memory seems to come from the dream). He resolves "I must" and walks away. His head is hung, maybe he is crying. Amber watches Bredan leave, followed by the other vampires, the people he has hunted, talked to. Everyone. Amber is eventually standing alone in the palace. Eventually a guard comes over. "The Northern Palace is ready my queen." "Leave me." Eventually amber heads outside and starts to walk through the streets of this beautiful city. She heads for the northern palace. } { amber brendan 2:00pm Jezabel is awake and checks on amber. Brendan wakes up, eventually. "Is... everything.. ok?" mutters brendan. Jezabel leans down and starts to sway. In a calming, almost hypnotic voice she replies, "Everything is fine brendan. Fine. You look sleepy. He starts to make the dinner table. 9:00pm Jezabel returns with an old fellow, Mr Gordon. People hide in the bedroom like simpering cowards. Muttered talking outside. 9:45pm Jezabel comes into the bedroom. "We should move" "Yes" amber and brendan reply. "I have arranged a new house. One that should be good for a few days." People drive off } 10:30pm { amber "Can I trust you?" asks amber Jezabel starts a philosophical rant. "Your kind should have no expectation of freewill from vampires, but we require differnt things and as long as those needs do not cross then I have no real interest in your affairs. "It depends what you require. Vampires are predators of humans. 'God gave man dominion over the animals and Caine children dominion over man'. If I want something and you are in the way then I will move you out of my way (or was that brush you aside?) for vampires have domain over humans. "But, that said, I do not have the same desires as you. " "Last night you mentioned freewill and how losing that was the worst part of your experiances the other day. Human freewill is something we are designed to have control of. Humans bicker with each other to gain control over others of their kind, but those rules do not apply to vampires. We have been granted supernatural control of human freewill. Jezabel sits Amber down and has a chat with Mr Gordon who talks about his war experiances. Jezabel questions him at length about the cost that he personally paid to defend his beliefs (by signing up early etc). Suddenly Jezabel stops. "I think I have over estimated you Amber. You have no focus. You have a bright light inside, but it has no things of value at its core. Let me show you to your room." ** CAM FORGETS STUFF ** "Do you wish Brendan's embrace?" } 11:00pm { amber brendan Amber continues "No. Brendan is naive." Jezabel turns and Brendan is standing behind them. Jezabel and brendan watch Amber get into bed. Jezabel says "We have to talk about things Brendan. I think this is important, but as always" she looks at Amber, "it is your decision to make." Amber flinches and looks surprised, like she has heard that conversation before somewhere. She sits up in bed, but says nothing. She lets brendan leave. "Ok. Lets go" says Brendan. } 11:30pm { brendan Brendan and Jezabel talk to Mr Gordon. "Why did you join up?" "Because it was important. Our whole contry was endanger. I mean I was too young to actually be there when the war turned, but everyone has to do their bit." "What did you fear?" "Landings. The Japaneese would pick one or two landing craft and when the front went down, hardly anyone ever got out. The waiting for that was the worst. It sort of built up over the days before the landing. *shudder* I still dream about it." "Regrets?" He starts philosophysing.... "There was this village. They were sympathysers or something. Anyway we had. orders to wipe it out. So we went from hut to hut killing everything. I mean it happens in every war. You hear about it in vietnam but it happened in all of em. People were running round screaming, but we didnt speak the language." "Humanity is thin. Civilisation is thin. I was at war with people who you would meet in the street in peace time, but they were no better than animals in the jungle. You do down to the level of your worse enemy. "When we trained they showed us stuff about our enemy. Primative propaganda by todays cynical standards. The machine gunned nurses and that sort of things. Made you hate. "I chatted to some people who were at coral sea. They were fighting off the invasion. The sank the troop ships and then machine strafed the survivors in the water. None got to our shore alive. Jezabel's voice goes forgiving, "That village... it was not your fault... you..." "NO! I dont want to be forgiven. You do things because you have to or because you are wrong. The memory is what keeps you from doing it again. You know you did wrong and that keeps you aware of right and wrong. Jezabel drops her fangs. "And here your life ends." The man goes to defend himself (he has obviously boxed or something). He stands, not in fear, but he doesnt attack either. Jezabel advances on him. He almost hesiates about hitting a woman for a second, but maybe the fangs convince him. He punches jezabel who just takes the blow as if it was nothing. Her hand flashes out and her fingernail punctures into his neck. He reaches up to pull her hand away and with his guard dropped, she leaps onto his neck. As soon as her fangs hit his neck, he freezes. Brendan can see his muscles screaming to act, to throw her off, but he his paralised. Jezabel drinks and drinks and then drops the pale body. *thud* She turns to brendan, blood covering her chin and lips. "This man had a focus. A mental discipline to guide him" she almost looks whistfully down at him. "You lack that Brendan and without it you are weak." "Vampires are predators of humans. 'is she watching? how do you call her?' 'i don't know. i break the tattoo.' 'the cuts on your back... dream' nod 'did you tell her?' says jez. 'amber, you have to obey jez.' 'why...' 'yes!! oh yes!' amber hungerly goes to drink from brendans offered arm. She stops and looks at jezabel who is just watching. amber pleads 'please leave us' holding brendans cut wrist just from her mouth. jezabell smiles. ambers looks pained but hungerly starts to drink. 'enough!' says brendan. 'please don't leave' pleads amber. Jezabel looks at amber 'we need to talk.' Brendan leaves } 4:30pm { amber Jezabel moves up to amber. 'don't waste my time. lie to me and i will kill you or worse. What that human did to you is nothing. I am a flesh crafter and I can take you to much worse experiences. You will be honest at all times.' 'you might hurt me for what I say...' 'I will hurt you if you lie to me. You are not to talk to brendan without my permission. If communication does take place then you are to confess to it at the earliest opportunity.' 'I... err...' Jezabel puts a hand on ambers arm and amber flinches. Jezabel smiles 'Do you hate me?' 'Yes.' 'Would you try and kill me?' 'No.' Jezabel looks at amber questioningly. Amber corrects herself, 'I wouldn't try because I couldn't succeed.' 'Better. You know I am not your greatest danger in this house.' 'Brendan? But...' 'He is going to undergo a difficult period as he readjusts. You were important to him and I will do all I can to see that you survive through to the end of his travels, just in case you still matter to him at the end of that. Jezabel pulls out a small round blood colored pebble. 'Head back.' Amber pulls back in fear, 'what is it?' 'A blood stone.' 'What is that?' 'I will tell you after I have placed it inside your body.' 'Tell me now.' 'No.' Jezabel touches amber, who slinks away but eventually gives in. Jezabel peels open ambers throat and pushes the object into her neck. Amber feels jezabel's fingers slide past her wind pipe and the veins in her neck. '*gack*' 'It lets me track you, should you decide to run away. Just so you cant leave us. That and some other things... Sleep now.' Amber shrinks back on the bed eyes wide open. Jezabel watches for a while and then leaves. } { brendan Jezabel: "should i restrain her so she doesn't do anything foolish during the day? Meld her skin to the bed or something? I think she would kill me if she had the chance. Anyway, tonight we are going to swap shapes. You still feel safe?" "Err yeah. She will be fine. Really" Brendan almost sounds convinced. "I put a blood stone in her. It will let me track her. Do you want one too?" "What will it let me do?" "Know where she is." "Sounds good, but I don't know magic." Jezabel grins, "I do." Brendan work on a ritual together and soon, the blood stone is finished. } { brendan amber Brendan and Jezabel walk in. "Wake up amber." Amber shakes awake. "What... I..." "Neck back.." "No.." she shrinks back on the bed "no..." Jezabel takes her head and pulls it back. With the other hand, she parts the flesh making all the veins and things visible. Jezabel then slides the object into ambers neck. "*gurgle*" bubbles amber. Jezabel smoothes the skin back closed and amber grabs her neck, a horrorified look on her face. "Brendan thought it a good idea." in a caring voice, jezabel continues, "We wouldn't want to lose you." Jezabel and Brendan leave the room. Amber tries to return to sleep. } 5:00pm 6:00pm { brendan amber Jezabel comes in to wish brendan and amber good night. Brendan goes and to sleep in the cupboard and Jezabel goes out to read. } Fri Dec 3 12:17:04 EST 1999 ============================ 28th Dec 1999 ------------- DAY --- { brendan Brendan starts looking through Jezabel's books and... *thud* falls asleep. He starts to dream about being in a huge garden (and obviously being a vampire) when a goth dude comes and talks to him. The man introduces himself as morfeeeeos, king of dreams. "That there are three forces at work here, one (chris?) keeping the story alive, via herself, her followers and the dead, one drawing you to the dreams and one wanting to give you a choice to escape your 'fate'." "The one that wants you to have a choice has paid me richly to purchase this 'free' time for you. You may visit any story in the dreaming, past or present (for the future is only dreamed of)." "Show me Hyldergard" asks brendan. *woosh* Walking down a circular tunnel in a sewer. It opens out into a square room with a ledge around it and a large grate leading out of the room. The grate has all the usual rubbish clogging it and also a torn up hyldergard caught between the bars. Standing over, watching is Gelert. Brendan climbs around and finds the location of the sewer. Brendan turns to dream, "Show me Jarrad" (mumble mumble) Brendan turns to dream, "Show me Chris" A huge darkly appointed room with a large bed in it. Chris is curled up like a baby, crying blood tears. As brendan goes to explore, he notices that on her back is a large snake, tattooed on scar tissue it looks like. Brendan explores and locates a false wall in the elevator shaft belowground. Brendan turns to dream, "Show me the first vampire." "There are so many stories." "Which is correct?" "All." "Ok. Show me caine." Brendan turns to dream, "Show me Set." Set, animal headed and all, his skin, part furr, part flesh and part scales, strides through what looks like a darkened temple. He strides into a huge room with a black chariot and two black horses. Two people scrabble to open the huge doors infront of the chariot. Looking at the door openers, Set must be atleast 8-10 feet tall. As he steps onto the chariot, the shadows pull around him. The doors burst open the sun streams in and the two people opening the doors burst into flame and roll around screaming. Set whips the horses who bolt out the door. The chariot is still covered in shadow, but it is bubbling off in the intense sunlight. Set looks around and the temple is covered in waves and waves of soldiers. He snarls as the sun starts to hit his flesh and smoke bursts forth. "*gak* Errr, ok. Show me setite dreams in melb." Back in time somewhere. A harpsicord? Music is scattered around. On the floor, near the harpsicord a man makes love to chris. Watching, it becomes more and more angry. Soon his fangs appear and he bites her neck. She screams and tries to struggle, but he rips and drinks. "Ewww. Is that how it happened?" "Somewhat. It is a dream. Remembered surroundings and events, some embellished, some real." "Well I guess we know why he is here..." "Oooooooook. Show me Julians dreams..." Cut to a village with soldiers with swords running round. They are dragging people out of buildings and hacking them to death. Julian is watching and waiting. Some vampires are obviously present too. Men, women and children are dragged from their houses and either ripped appart by the vampires or hacked to death by the soldiers. Soon a cry goes up. Soldiers and vampires rush to a building. Julian approaches but stays outside. Soon the vampires drag a steaked female vampire out by her hair. It looks somewhat like chris (family resemblance?) but obviously not her (well appears not to be her :). Julian leaps upon her and starts to drink. He pulls out the steak and she tries to fight him off but he keeps drinking. She bursts into dust. Julian gets angry and starts ripping through the humans who have been killed. Brendan has never seen julian angry or is it frenzy? Soon two vampires come up to him. "Is it done?" Control returns to julian and he turns, "Yes. I killed her myself." Brendan: "Oooooooooooooooooooooooh. Ok. Show me cat. Is she alive?" "Part of her remains." "She was munched?" "*shrugs*" *Old Egypt stuff here, when we play it.* } { amber Amber gets up during the day. She hesitates about going into the room with Jezabel in it (and it looks like she is dreaming amber guesses from the aura). She goes into the kitchen and gets a drink, opens the front door and then sits in the sun for a bit, thinking. She hears a faint chanting and looking at her tattoo it has repaired itself. Chris chats to her a bit. "Something is strange with brendan if you could just check.. Bren... err maybe I should come there. No I shouldnt interfear. Can you check brendan and Jezabel?" Amber rushes to check brendan. He seems to be sleeping fine. She checks on jezabel and she seems out like a light. She walks over to the curtains and looks out. Bright bright sun. Amber considers ripping the curtains from the window, but doesnt know how it would all come out. Would brendan kill her? Would she be better or worse off? Is brendan more of a danger than Jezabel? Amber watches some TV, surprised that jezabel sleeps through it. She returns to bed. } Night ----- { amber Amber awakes to jezabel shaking her. "Wake up dear. I have a task for you. I want to you attack brendan when I say. I think you can do it. I will be dissapointed if you fail." "Why? Dont make me do this." "It is to teach him about trust and about immortality. To show him that he is not immortal and that his life can end by action of another. His immortality does not work against active threats." Amber stuggles with the difficulty of her action, but realises that brendan probably need to learn this lesson and that Jezabel is serious about making her do this She curses Jezabel for making her be the one to teach it. Jezabel offers amber some blood and she takes it. Jezabel touches amber and she feels her strength and dex increase. "Hmm. Not enough" says Jezabel and forces more blood into amber. } { brendan amber As amber and jezabel walk in and wake brendan he leaps to his feet and starts writing stuff down. He raves 'I saw caine and set. I know where chris sleeps. I say julian kill your family.' Amber and Jezabel exchange looks. Jezabel: "Brendan, I want to show you...." "I know where Hyldergard is." "Oh yes. Where?" "In a sewer on BLAH. Oh and I know where Chris's haven is." "How?" "Dream stuff." Jezabel seems to want to skip this bit. "Brendan I want to show you about trust. In your life you have to chose who you trust. If I can just show you this little experiment.." Amber leaps onto Brendan with a wooden stake. She plunges it into his chest and hit hits directly onto his heart. It starts to push in, but brendan is pushed back in shock and luckly the stake does not slide all the way into his heart. Brendan stands shocked until amber attempts to drive the stake all the way in and he tries twists out of the way. She smashes him in the nose, but brendan is too shocked by the attack to notice much of his surroundings. He pulls the stake from his chest and flings it away. Amber kicks him and he reels again. Brendan finally snaps out and grabs ambers arm, hoping to bite her and immobilise her. He drops his fangs on ambers arm, but his fangs are nowhere to be found. Amber, who definatly has the initiative here, kicks him in the jewels and that shocks him back into action. He bites again. Nothing. Amber goes to punch him in the chest, but something catches her hand. Brendan is shocked to realise that Jezabel has her hand through his chest. "Arrrrg!" Amber reels back in horror. "Im sorry brendan. Im so sorry!" Jezabel holds brendan for a while before removing her hand. Brendan pushes some of his hurt bits back. Ow. "You are immortal from passive things brendan. Illness," she indicates to amber, "old age" she smiles and continues "and the like. But not from active assults. Sometimes you can be threatened by those you trust." "Im sorry brendan" wimpers amber. Jezabel turns to her, "Why did you do it?" "Im sorry brendan." "ANSWER!" "Yes tell me amber. I want to know." asks brendan. "I... Fear... I... " "She loves you, but she fears me more. Those you trust can be used against you." "Ah." comments brendan. B: "So, that was to teach me that I cant trust anyone? Paranoid existance isnt it?" J: "Partly that is true, but I dont think you can live that way. You need to find people who you can trust. Sometimes they betray you and that can hurt or kill you, but you have to trust." B: "How?" J: "Thats up to you. You pick people you feel you can trust. That is your choice, but it can still be used against you. Amber. Hit brendan again." A: "No. I..." "Do it! NOW!" Amber starts weakly swiping at brendan who just bats away her hits. Jezabel grabs amber... "Dont waste my time. I said hit him and I expect you to do it!" Amber is shocked, scared and stunned. She starts striking harder, but it is still robot like, brendan parries with ease. Jezabel starts to get very angry but brendan quickly interupts. "Do it amber. Do as she says." Amber's blows fall down in an uncontrolled rain. She is no longer as controled as she was when she attacked brendan initally and almost so sucessfully. Brendan bats away what he can. Eventually Jezabel says "enough" and amber slinks away. "Fear was enough to turn her against you brendan. The fear of her living her 'experiance' again or dying. What would it take for you to you hit amber. You chould do it and heal the physical damage. You know that. What would I have to do to make you do that?" "I dont know....." "Worth thinking about though..." J: "Amber, why did you hit him the second time?" "I knew you would hurt me if I didnt. And I couldnt kill brendan. I mean he can heal anything like that. And.. Im so sorry..." "But I think amber has some glimmerings of trust. I dont trust her because I think she is keeping stuff from you, but Amber, would you relive your 'experiance' to save brendan?" Amber nods. "Would you experiance more?" Amber hesitates and nods, "probably." "Would you die for him?" Amber backs away a little, "maybe." "Do you love him?" "I muttermumble." "Would you go back? Would you have the link removed?" "I..?" Jezabel goes and gets amber a drink of water, having heard that helps with humans. B: "So, what should I do?" J: "You should chose your friends well. Any placing of trust puts you in danger, but you can try and measure those you put that trust in. I believe in freedom and I like to think that I would rather die than cross by beliefs and act against my people. Yes I could be forced to do it, but often there is a choice in such situations, you can chose to die or betray and stay alive. That doesnt mean you cant act against those who trust you, but it can help limit the ability people have to turn you against your friends." B: "And I am weak because I dont have that..?" J: "Partly. Yes. You can be manipulated into acting against your friends because you cant recognise danger to them." B: "So, what do I do about it?" J: "Well its hard to say. You need to find out whats important to you. You need to find people and trust. Tell me do you need people to trust or do you need to be trusted? Trust is a two way thing." B: "Yes that is important to me. You couldnt live without people to trust." J: "Some people can. But it seems important to you. You need to measure people. Human society has 'laws' and 'customs' that limit dangerous behaviour. 'Kill someone and you go to prison' we have no such laws and nothing stopping us. Our only relief comes in finding people we can trust to not act against us." Rescuing Hyldergard... J: "Im not sure I want to do that just yet. I dont trust you yet brendan and I dont trust amber. That drains ones energy and requires extra vigilance. I dont think adding Hyldergard would ease that load, infact I think it would just increase it. B: "I trust her. She has been true to me." J: "Maybe. But I thought her stronger than events have shown. It seems I made a lot of mistakes. For example, I trusted Julian and I was wrong there. Hyldergard I thought better of, but that fight with One was just stupid. I was wrong there too. Everyone else is dead. That hurts, but you go on." B: "Maybe. Wanna see chris then?" Jezabel turns to amber. "I dont trust you. Has chris watched us or comminicated with you?" Amber: "no." Jez: "I dont believe her brendan. Id like to sift through her mind. May I?" Amber reels back. Brendan looks at her and thinks. Jez: "Amber, want to change your answer?" Amber: "I... " Brendan starts to answer jezabel but amber snaps "Chris talked to me during the day." Nice long pause. RETRO RETRO RETRO He wakes with a start and looks down to see a woman ontop of him, making lurv to him. She is arched back and as he watches, she straightens and it is the Elder. Looking round he realises it is Egypt. She is covered in sweat, obviously having been working hard. Having only seen her in her modern form or in offical dreams, the obvious change strikes brendan. It had been hard to not notice her physical beauty before, but now he can see a seductive energy raditating off her. She is physically perfect and radiating such a sexual magnitism. "Come on!" she urges and renews her efforts. Brendan/Akenaten reaches up and starts to return her embraces and love. Brendan, frustratingly, feels disconnected from the physical part of this dream. Jez gets a foot on gelerts chest and pushes away, extending her leg to unnatural lengths to do it. Gelert bits at the foot, crushing bone before jez pulls back. Gelert seems narky and brendan tries to calm him. Letting him go, gelert rushes over to H and starts to drag her off. Brendan and Jez have a chat. Bren takes Jez's gun and walks up to gelert. Gelert notices the gun and snarls. Brendan sits and pats Gelert. Gelert seems on edge. Brendan shoots him. As brendan pokes his head up the grate, a gun is thrust into the base of his skull. "Errk!"
