\section{\label{plot-m-dotd}Death on the Docks}
This mini-situation allows the players to find links to Draco's
organisation and the BenVenito mafia family. This adventure should be
run before Death of the Don (section~\ref{plot-m-dotd}) if the
players show any interest in the underworld.
This plot is intended to kill Judge Landly and Santo BenVenito, the
first step in Maria gaining control of the Mob. The players will be
lucky to effect the outcome. It is mainly an information occurance.
It also is ment to make Draco's presence felt on the street.
Anyone with links to the criminal world is likely to recognice Santo,
but Landly will likely be unknown to everyone.
\subsection{What has gone before}
Landly has been taken over by his greed for money and power. His drug
importing is starting to attract the attention of Draco's
organisation who want him closed down. Maria has convinced Draco to
remove him.
Santo has started to move for control of the Family because Don Vinney
seems to be losing control of the Mob. The businesses are expanding
without Vinney's orders. Santo has started to move to take over,
forcing Maria's hand.
Landly has been told to bring 2kg of uncut Heroin to the meeting, and
Santo has been told bring 4 million in cash.
Ingrid has one of Vinney's drivers dominated and found out about the
meeting and is looking to make a quick profit.
\subsection{Draco's plan}
Because the flow of this allows for more player input I will outline
Draco's plan.
Draco has called Santo here first and then Landy. He has placed 4
marksmen with automatic rifles and snipers sights on the roof of
various wearhouses in the area and has 5 men with MP-5's hidden
in the area.
When Santo and Landly meet they will start to argue but both will be
cut down as two snipers target each of them. Once they are both dead,
the men with MP-5's will appear and round up the remaining bodyguards
and execute them.
Lucifer will appear and make sure the both of them are dead.
Draco and Maria are in a Limo nearby and will arrive once
the area is secure.
Maria and Draco will shake hands on a job well done. Maria will take
half the money and Draco half the drugs, the rest will be sprayed
around the area.
\subsection{Possible Outcomes}
If Ingrid rolls up for the practice, then all hell will break loose.
In this case the flow of events may well go like this, depending on
player interactions.
Ingrid sneaks up on Santo and Landly as they argue and disposes of their
bodyguards once they are done, she will approach them both. The
snipers will kill Santo and Landly and shoot Ingrid (and the players
if they helped her) and she will play dead.
The men with MP-5's will appear and capture the players if they
haven't been helping and arn't hiding well. They will be executed with
the other guards.
Assuming they survive this (so what, bullets), they better play dead
or they will keep being shot until they are stop moving.
Maria and Draco will roll up and start their discussion but Lucifer will
notice that the player and Ingrid are not human. Immediately Maria and
Draco will run for the car and the snipers will resume fire.
Lucifer will fight until Maria and Draco are gone then he will
dissapear in the darkness. Any captured guards will be killed by the
snipers.
Make the sniper fire annoying. Everytime someone moves, they attract
fire.
Ingrid will probably frenzy and go on a killing rampage.
Draco's men will withdraw and Ingrid will end up with the money (with
bullet holes in it), the drugs and cloths full of bullets.

\section{\label{plot-m-dotn}Death of the Don}
This mini adventure is the second involving the mafia. In the first
(section~\ref{plot-m-dotd}) the oldest son of Don Vinney BenVenito,
Santo is killed along with Judge Landly. Now, Maria Fiorelli must move
to cement her control over the family before it slips from her grasp.
The plot point is intened to kill Vinney, allowing Maria control of
the Mob. It is also intended to blame the killing on some poor suckers
(the players).
\subsection{What has gone before}
Things have not been going well for the BenVenito family. Vinney is
starting to grow too old for his position some say. His tight control
on the Family has been slipping, weakening the whole family.
Three forces were fighting for control of the Family, slowly ripping
it apart.
\begin{description}
\item [Santo BenVenito] The eldest son, who saw it as his birthright.
\item [Maria Fiorelli] Who is soon to married to the second eldest
son, Claudio. She is a slightly rebelious Syndicate mage. (Maria from
now on).
\item [Maria BenVenito] Maria has been posessed by Banes and is using
the Family construction businesses to build over Garou Cearns. (Mrs
BenVenito from now on).
\end{description}
Maria had a problem, that was she could not have any influence if
she wished to be accepted into the Family, so she carefully avoided
having any influence over anyone except Claudio. She has been grooming
Claudio to lead the Family, but needed to remove Vinney and Santo.
She was trying to think of a way to do this when she noticed Lucifer
and Draco attempting to appraoach Claudio. Attracted to Lucifer's odd
form, she approached them and started a discussion.
Maria would remove Vinney and place Claudio in control and Draco
would remove Santo and Landly. A deal was struck. Landly and Claudio
were killed and that left Maria with the problem of how to remove
Vinney.
\subsection{Preperation}
Players who spend any time around the BenVenito residence before the
Maria implements her plan will have bad dreams, thanks to Kalus who
visit them in the Umbra each night (see Werewolf).
\subsection{Maria's plan}
Maria is looking for some people to blame the crime on, and if they
become involved, it will be the players. She has the following
sequence of events planned out. Remember she is a Mage, so she can
work out the coincidences such as Claudio being out when the players
roll up.
Supernatural players such as vampires, werewolves and to a lesser
extent mages, will be ideal for Maria's plan because they will have to
hide from authority, so they will likely just dissapear rather than
spend extended periods in jail, which supports her story.
\begin{itemize}
\item She will wait until people unknown to the family come to visit
Vinney while Claudio is out. Vinney will be busy and the players will
have to wait.
\item She will dress formally (as Claudio is coming to take her out)
in a loverly black dress with expensive shoes and opera gloves. She
will talk to them seeming normal and happy. If the seem acceptable
then she will impliment her plan.
\item She will then cause the phone to ring and answer it. She will
turn pale, and start to cry, say "Claudio..." and walk slowly down and
barge into Vinney's office and scream.
\item If she has judged the players correctly they will charge down
to see what is wrong. If they do not, she will apologise to Vinney and
abandon her plan. But lets face it, most PC's will leap at the chance
to get involved.
\item Once she hears the players running down the hall, she will pull
a gun and shoot Vinney twice in the head. Then, eyes full of tears,
she will turn the gun on herself, just as the players barge in and
giving the impression she is about to kill herself. She will offer no
resistance to anyone who wants to grab the gun, make that clear, she
looks destroyed.
\end{itemize}
\subsection{Player's reaction}
Now the players have a chance to act and can do one of three things.
In each of these cases, Maria's gloves will disappear and testing of
the gunpowder will be inconclusive about just who fired the gun.
\begin{itemize}
\item [Grab the Gun] before she shoots herself. Maria will then break
down and cry and scream, until the rest of the family come in, guns
drawn and find the players holding the gun and the Don dead. They will
then call the police and the players can deal with their fingerprints
on the gun.
\item [Let her shoot] herself. In this case, she will shoot herself in
the upper chest and shoulder twice. Dropping the gun, which will slide
over to the players feet. Then the guards will rush in and we have the
same situation as above although their will be no fingerprints on the
gun.
\item [Stuggle with her] and not grab the gun. In this case, the
gun will appear at the foot of one of the players and Maria will
struggle valliantly as the rest of the family rush in. Their will be
no fingerprints on the gun.
\end{itemize}
Maria will tell the story that she came in to see if Vinney was coming
out with Claudio and herself and then the players burst in and shot
Vinney.
\subsection{Consequences}
\begin{itemize}
\item Unless someone provides supernatural aid to Vinney, he will die.
\item The police will do the basic forensics, but not really look
into the killing much, assuming its a Mob related thing. They will
tend to go with the flow of the case. Players protests about gloves
will just make their case seem weaker.
\item Maria, if she is alone will say: "I must thank you for your
help. May I suggest you dissapear? I am sure that someone with your
background knows how to do that."
\end{itemize}
\subsection{Aftermath}
\subsubsection{Players do nothing}
If the players run away with their tail between their legs, then Maria
marries Claudio who becomes Don and they live happily ever after.
Maria links in with Draco and crime becomes much more organised.
Maria starts to 'help' Claudio.
If Maria meets the players again, she will try to make it up to them.
Mrs BenVenito's influence has been ruined with Vinneys death.
\subsubsection{Players prove Maria did it}
If the players can somehow support their story that Maria shot Vinney,
then Maria will flee and the players will gain an enemy.
Well not really an enemy. She will happily make a deal with them,
although they will have to repay her for her loss.
Mrs BenVenito's influence has been reduced with Vinneys death, but she
will move on to influence the youngest brother Vinney Jr. The Wyrm
will gain control of the Mafia.
\subsubsection{Players create doubts about Maria}
In this case, Maria will try to come to an agreement with the players.
An agreement: they take the wrap for it, but she repays them for
the favor.
In this case, Maria's marrage will be delayed and Claudio will not let
Maria 'help' him run the Family.
The outcome between Mrs BenVenito and Maria is undetermined, either
may win.
\subsection{Mrs BenVenito}
Poor Maria BenVenito has been possessed by a Psychomachiae and every
night as Vinney and Maria go to sleep, the Psychomachiae fills their
dreams. Vinney is so far untainted, but three of the bodyguards have
become Fomor thanks to visits to the Doctor.
Adjust the power of the Psychomachiae (see Werewolf) to suit your group.
