Cool game dudes! Lost it at the end though.
- Sam "Send me a postcard!" Chupp
We did! (Well actually we sent a photo).
- Rupert "Body peirce me!" (rgg)
I don't know if we would have got this far without rgg to laugh at.
Quote: "I'm so \&\#@\$*ing sorry!"
- Dougal "They auspex only once" (dwagon)
Mr Malkavian. From now on, everyone else suffers for your brilliant ideas.
Quote: "It was the Sabbat!"
- Damien "Must kill Rupert" (eccles)
His first words to me consisted of a threat over a story idea I
suggested to his ST. That
set the tone, really. Eccles had a 6 month plan, which worked for
about 30 seconds once he implemented it.
Quote: "Heehehehehe" (looking at rupert)
- [Amanda "The reading chair" (nonnie)] Probably not for
playing, but for those nice long walks discussing world domination.
Quote: "" (turns page)
- [Dave "IT WAS ME"] Noone believed you, but I knew
better. Quote: Dave-"I am the Sabbat spy!!" Other-"Yeah, sure. Shut up
dave."
- [Robert "Black bunny go boom"] High humanity
up until the last 5 mins of the game. Quote: "Humanity rolls get so
much easier".
- [Bryan "page 11, actually"] I could say Rules lawer,
but thats not it. Stream of consiousness ideas! Quote: "Hey! 5
sucesses!"
- [Owen "Shotguns!" (chuck)] Never enough fire power! Quote: "I
get the shotgun!".
- [Simon "Iron pipes!"] John Wayne, indeed! Quote: "I
get the iron pipe!"
- [Derik "I must be zany"] The first 30 second character
I ever saw. Quote: "He wouldn't have lived anyway".
- [Nicky "What?"] I could say that it was the best single
session character I have seen! But I would be lying. Quote: "What a
stupid game"
- [Mike "Fox wouldn't fox that"] His character lasted more than
a session. It was a miracle. Their is a God! Quote: "I write it down"
How to use
Most effort in this adventure has been in detailing NPCs and their
plans (this style was influenced heavily by the Succubus
club and Chicago by Night). These plans and where the PCs fit into
them defines the adventure. This differs somewhat from the standard
roleplaying adventure as their is only a general sequence of play and
no goal or path. The player characters can join any side, foil any
plan and suffer any fate, it is totally up to them.
Themes
The main theme for this adventure is timey. The effects of time,
the price of living forever, the ravages of time and the changes
that time brings. The differences between the present and the past.
- Civilisations
Civilisatsions change through time. This is
adventure has a number of old vampires from differnent civilisations
and attempts presents them in comparision to modern civilisation.
- New verses old
The modern compaired to the antique, the new
to the old. Is change always good?
- Youth against Experiance
The distrust of young for the old,
and vise versa is also a theme occurs often in this game.
- Change
When comparing new and old, one cannot help but
compare change and its effects also.
- Alienation over time.
Alienation over time. During the
course of the adventure, it is hoped that the players will experiance
the increasing gap that their new powers cause from humanity. Also,
the alienation of individuals over their long lives.
\section{Mood}
This is intended to be a role playing adventure, not a hack and slash
adventure. Given some of the power of indivduals here, hack and slash
playing will lead to a quick, messy end. Players must roleplay
interaction with the different NPCs to have any real influence in the
city.
